Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we believe you guys may have missed –

Chelsea have decided that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is the man that they want to sign in the summer window.

With the fact that Chelsea have been keen to add a world class striker to that attack for many transfer windows now – there has been alot of speculation that Osimhen is a player that the club want.
Napoli are enjoying a stunning season, currently 13 points clear of Inter Milan at the top of the Serie A table and Osimhen has been a big part of that success, with 16 goals in 17 league appearances.
Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported that Napoli are expecting bids of €120m (£107m) from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Now – according to 90min’s Greame Bailey (h/t CaughtOffside), Chelsea have made Napoli striker Victor Osimhen a top transfer target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

However – President Aurelio de Laurentiis says the club are not interested in selling the striker: ‘I can tell you that Osimhen is not for sale,’ De Laurentiis said.

‘Our players are in demand, but I don’t have to sell anyone.

‘We don’t have any debt.’

Look, money talks and if Chelsea do offer the right amount of money for the man – then Napoli will allow their star man to leave.

He is having the best season of his life and Chelsea would be very lucky to bring him to the Premier League – but there other clubs interested in a possible deal and it will be interesting to see just where he ends up.

But as we said, he would be a very good signing for Chelsea as he does have the potential to score the goals that the club have been missing over the past few seasons.

But not for the money that is being talked about guys, that is for sure.

Morgan signs up –

Chelsea has completed the signing of Jimmy-Jay Morgan from Southampton.

Morgan has impressed for England U17s, registering six goals across seven caps thus far. he has also registered four goals and five assists across eight Premier League 2 games and scored two goals in two FA Youth Cup matches.

Chelsea have been keeping a very close eye on the man for some time now and decided to make their move on the Transfer deadline day – and quickly reached an agreement to bring him to the club at the end of the season.
It has been a few days since the agreement was reached – but Chelsea have now confirmed that the talented young striker has been signed on a deal that is worth £6 million.

Head of youth development and recruitment Jim Fraser said: ‘In signing Jimmy-Jay we have added a player with good potential to our Academy squads. His ability marks him out as an exciting striker and we are delighted he has chosen Chelsea for this next, important stage of his development.’

Morgan has been impressing the scouts for weeks now and is a player that Chelsea seriously believe has the potential to make it big in the game.

It will be interesting to see how far the lad goes in the game – it will be interesting to see if he ever gets a chance in that Chelsea side and it will be interesting to see if he actually gets lost in that Blues academy system.

But he is a very talented lad that is hoping this move is the one that gets him onto that professional stage.

Rice told to move –

Rio Ferdinand has encouraged Chelsea target Declan Rice to leave West Ham.

Rice has been one of the most talked about midfielders in the Premier League and is constantly being linked with a move away from the club – with Chelsea and Arsenal the two favourites for a potential deal.

Now – Ferdinand has opened up and told the Englishman that he should leave the club: ‘With Rice, he has still got levels to go with his game,’ Ferdinand told BT Sport

‘He is still a young player and he does a job here at West Ham but I still think if it is here or elsewhere, I think there are other parts of his game that he is still looking to develop himself and that will come out from being extracted by other coaches.’

He continued: ‘He could stay here and have a career like Mark Noble.

‘Fans will hate me for saying it… I was a player in his shoes once, quite identical in many ways.

‘I wanted to win things, I wanted to do it at West Ham but it wasn’t possible. The fans respected that. He has done enough in his time here for the fans to respect any decision that he makes.’

There has been so much said about the future of Declan Rice – so many fans are getting upset with all the speculation – but at the end of the day guys, we would be very shocked to see him stay at the Hammers for next season.

He is ready for that next step in his career – he is ready to play for a Champions League club – so the Hammers need to make sure that an adequate replacement is signed by the club
