£120M star tells club he wants summer move – Chelsea already working on potential deal
Joao Felix has told Atletico Madrid he does not want to return to the club when his loan at CHELSEA expires at the end of the season.
Felix failed to make the grade over at Atletico Madrid and pretty much forced a move away from the club during the January transfer window – as he needed a fresh challenge in the game.
That allowed Chelsea to swoop in and bring him to the Premier League on loan until the end of the current season – and there have been calls for the club to make his switch to Stamford Bridge a permanent one.
Portuguese outlet Relevo has revealed that Chelsea could have an opportunity to keep Felix at the Bridge and extend his contract because a return to Los Rojiblancos looks highly unlikely at this time.
Now – according to Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida – the Portuguese star has told Madrid that he has no intention of making a move back at the end of the season.
He has recently claimed that he could be open to staying at CHELSEA for the long-term – as quoted by ESPN: ‘In terms of if I want to stay or not, I think the future, no-one knows.

‘Now I am just focused on tomorrow’s game. After that, we don’t know what will happen.
‘But I am happy here. The club is so big, is amazing, everyone behind the club is so good, so yes I am happy to be here.’
But the Portuguese International has also admitted that he has a desire to play Champions League football. But following their win over Leeds last Saturday, Chelsea are now 10th in the table, 11 points off the top four, but with a game in hand over fourth-placed Tottenham.
‘But now I am focused on this Champions League, tomorrow’s game. We have a lot of games yet to try to reach the Champions League in the league. It is not over.
Playing Champions League, it is [an] important decision. But the future, no one knows so let’s see what happens.’
