£154M man sends transfer message to Chelsea about possible transfer move
Ousmane Dembele has provided an update on his future at Barcelona amid interest from Chelsea
The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer as clubs queued up for the chance to sign one of Europe’s most exciting wingers free of charge
It was reported on many occasions that Dembele was a player that Barcelona were not willing to keep – especially as they are in financial trouble and cannot pay the star players the contracts they desire
However – despite all the speculation – despite all the rumours that Dembele would be leaving Barca – and despite all the rumours that Chelsea were very keen on trying to get a deal done – a move never materialised and he stayed put
But that has not stopped all the speculation regarding his long-term future at the club and there has been some talk that Chelsea and Arsenal are just two clubs that could make a move in the January window
But it seems that Dembele has other plans.
What has he said?
Speaking to Spanish outlet ‘Sport’, as quoted by Marca, the winger said: “My relationship with Xavi is special, I want to stay by his side for a long time. Undoubtedly, Xavi has been key to continue.
“Also the president, I talk a lot with both of them. I’m fine. Everyone is happy now.”

Dembele is enjoying the best spell of his Barcelona career and honestly – he would be a fool to leave the Spaniards now
So even though Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked – we cannot see the Frenchman leave Barca in January or at the end of the current season
