£170m star heading to Chelsea for bargain? – £75M star ‘close’ to agreeing move – Chelsea told sign £70M powerhouse
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Long-term CHELSEA target Jadon Sancho is on the verge of leaving Man United in the January transfer window.
On the back of his £75 million ($94m) arrival from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in 2021, the highly-rated wideman has registered just 12 goals through 82 appearances and failed to impress like many had hoped.
It is suggested that the working relationship between the England international winger and his coach Erik Ten Hag has completely broken down at Old Trafford. With there seemingly no way back, a move that suits all parties.
Sancho’s publicly hit back against United boss Erik ten Hag and insisted he had been made a ‘scapegoat’ following criticism for failing to reach the required performance in training.
Ten Hag has reportedly made it clear that Sancho will not return to the main squad unless he issues an apology. Amid his ongoing dispute with the Red Devils boss, Sancho is reportedly close to agreeing to leave the club in the January transfer window, according to Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg.

Look, CHELSEA were heavily linked with a move for Sancho in the summer window, but Man United opted to put a massive asking price on the head of the lad and a move never even got close.
He is well down the pecking order at Old Trafford now and a move away may be the best option for everyone involved. But we do believe that a move away from the Premier League may be the best option.
Sancho is not made for the English game and will have much more success if he makes the move back to the Bundesliga, heads to Spain or makes a move to Italian football.
TONEY MESSAGE SENT –
Chelsea told to sign the “next Didier Drogba” in Brentford star Ivan Toney in the coming transfer windows.

Toney is currently in the middle of a ban that keeps him out of football until January, but that has not stopped speculation that he is a player that CHELSEA are very much interested in signing.
The Blues have spent some serious money over the last couple of transfer windows, but are lacking a striker that has the ability to score 20 goals a season, and Toney is reportedly the man that Mauricio Pochettino would like the board to sign in just a few months time.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
Mauricio Pochettino’s side added Nicolas Jackson in the summer but Frank McAvennie insisted the club are still missing someone like Toney.
“I still think they could do with Toney. I think if they get him they will be a force to be reckoned with again.
“They have got a decent squad but no disrespect to Jackson as I think he will be a great player but he is all over the place, he is a bit like Bambi.
“He will be a wonderful asset to Chelsea but if they get Toney it is like getting Drogba, he does not mind mixing it up, he does not mind the long runs and I think that is what Chelsea need.“

Toney has a few months before he can actually play for Brentford – he can train – but he cant play. So if CHELSEA are looking to sign the man, he will not be too useful for a good few weeks after his return as he will need to get back into match fitness.
They certainly have the cash to sign any player that they like – but as we said – if they managed to get a deal done for the man he would be a brilliant addition to the side and a real big signing.
But his age may play against him as that CHELSEA board like to buy younger players.
OSIMHEN BARGAIN?
Chelsea could land Napoli striker Victor Osimhen for a cut-price fee next summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Osimhen has ready established himself as one of the very best strikers in the game right now and a man that is tipped to make a big transfer move in the next couple of windows.

Premier League bound?
He helped Napoli win their first League title for many seasons and led the scoring charts in the process – with reports suggesting that the Italians now value him at around the £170 million mark.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
The Nigeria international is out of contract in Naples in June 2025, meaning he will have just a year remaining when next summer’s window rolls around.
Napoli are yet to make progress in contract talks with Osimhen, which has piqued the interest of potential suitors, but the Italian giants could be forced to accept a lower price for their prize asset in 2024 – having previously set their asking price at around £170million.
Reporter Iomie Stanley says he could be a great signing for the Blues, he told IcFootballnews: ‘CHELSEA need a striker – he could be a very solid addition to that front-line that is for certain guys.
‘This contract situation will give the Blues a chance – but we cant see a move happening this summer as this is probably a ploy by his agent to get some more money and get the demands that Osimhen desires.
‘But one thing is for certain – CHELSEA have a very exciting attack – but they need to sign an actual striker that is used to playing down the middle – and they need to hurry up about it too, as they are missing out on some big names.
‘It is great looking to the future and buying talents they can make money on, but football is all about winning and if a team like Chelsea are not doing that, they will no longer attract the biggest players.
‘If the reports are true, which we believe might not be, he could be a great signing for Chelsea.’
