England legend Chapman announces Manchester United and Tottenham to be ‘game-changers’ next season

Womens England legend Katie Chapman has claimed Manchester United and Spurs can be game-changers for the womens game.

Right now the Womens game is growing at a rapid pace and that is nomore evident in the World Cup right now, with regular games receiving over 10,000 people.

And their status is the game will once again be elevated next season after both United and Spurs gained promotion to the Women’s Super League next season having.

Both clubs will be looking to stamp their authority in the top tier and challenge the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and the rest to that Womens title.

And now Chapman reckons their inclusion is a huge boost for the league.

“When you bring the big teams in – obviously they’re the big teams in the men’s game – you’re bringing Tottenham and Manchester United into the mix of that and hopefully the money is going to go into those teams,” Chapman said on the Daily Star

“Hopefully we can keep the profile and if the money is pumped into the women’s game, you can see the progress at the top. Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal have got the money and there’s clubs right behind them.

“If we can do that with every team within the league, it’s going to be a really, really professional league.”

The Womens game is growing and both United and Spurs will indeed help take the Womens game to that next level, especially as they are two of the biggest clubs in the mens game right now.

So it will be interesting to see just how the game develops in the coming seasons, especially with the likes of Spurs and United taking a serious interest in the womens side of things.
