Ian Wright believes CHELSEA’s £25m deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United will prove to be an ‘amazing bargain’, as the Blues have an agreement to bring in the former Borussia Dortmund winger on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Sancho ended an underwhelming spell at Old Trafford by joining United’s Premier League rivals Chelsea on loan last summer, and the former Bundesliga star has looked alot more creative during his time with the Blues than he was at United.

The England international will spend the rest of the season at Stamford Bridge, but as part of the deal Chelsea have agreed to sign him permanently for around £25m next summer, and that will be a great bit of business says Wright.

‘I need to give flowers to Jadon Sancho,’ Wright said on his podcast. ‘He was very good [against Tottenham], he was good. He said afterwards about proving people wrong and feeling welcome so he obviously didn’t feel that at the other place, at Man United, probably.

‘Why would he say that otherwise? He didn’t feel like he was at the bosom of a football club that recognised what he can do and gave him the platform to express himself.

‘Even when he went to Dortmund last season he was proving people wrong.

‘I’m just pleased he’s shown since leaving United that in the right environment he is a top player, a top player.’

Sancho looks like quality at times in that CHELSEA shirt and keeping hold of the player for £25 million will be a bargain for the Blues, it is far less than the £80 million they were prepared to pay before he made the move to Man United.

He is happy and playing the best football since his move to the Premier League, it is good to see.

CHELSEA TOLD SIGN KELLEHER

Jason McAteer has urged CHELSEA to sign Caoimhin Kelleher and believes the Liverpool star would cost ‘in the region of £30m to £40m’ when the January window opens up in just a few weeks time.

Kelleher has made 12 appearances for Liverpool this term with their No.1 ‘keeper Alisson Becker struggling with a hamstring injury, but now that the Brazilian star is back playing, the Irish stopper will once again find it hard to get the game time he deserves.

The Irishman has made no secret of his desire for regular first-team football, explaining his stance to The Telegraph in October that he wanted to play, and with Chelsea reportedly looking at signing a new stopper in the coming windows, they Blues have been told to make a move for Kelleher.

‘I think Caoimhin got to the point in his career now where he’s going to have to make a big choice at the end of the season,’ McAteer told beIN Sports. If he wants a career somewhere else and play rather than just sit on the bench waiting to get in to play in a number of games for Liverpool.

‘Chelsea is the big one. [Robert] Sanchez, I don’t think he’s… no. I think you should get Caoimhin [Kelleher] now.

‘I think his valuation certainly would have gone up over the last couple of seasons with what we’ve seen.

‘You’re probably maybe looking in the region of £30 to £40 million for him. With Mamardashvili coming in, I think that’s saying to him [he can] go and have a career [at a different club].’

Kelleher is a very decent stopper that wants to play and it is a shame that he does want to leave the club as he has been a decent servant for Liverpool – but now is the right time to depart.

But despite being urged by McAteer to make a move – we simply cannot see the stopper moving to CHELSEA .as the Blues seem happy enough with what they have.

CHELSEA IN CASEDAI TALKS

Chelsea are in talks with Monza over a loan deal for Cesare Casadei, according to reports in Italy as the young man is pushing for a move away from the Blues in order to get some first team minutes that he has failed to do at Stamford Bridge

The 21-year-old has played a little over ten times for the Blues and while he was close to departing the club in the summer, potentially on a loan deal, he ended up staying at Stamford Bridge.

He’s yet to play in the Premier League in the campaign, and despite the manager not picking him, Casadei has revealed to TuttoSport in an interview that Enzo Maresca played a key role in keeping him at CHELSEA.

But According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea and Monza are ‘quickly’ advancing their negotiations over a six-month loan deal for Casadei ahead of the January transfer window.

The report claims that Monza are aiming to have the Chelsea midfielder registered as soon as the window opens on January 2 in order for him to play against Cagliari three days later.

Italy under-21 boss Carmine Nunziata recently claimed that he believed a move away in the winter could benefit the youngster: “Last year Cesare had a good first part with Leicester, then he went to Chelsea and played little,” Nunziata told Rai Radio 1 Sport. “This year they [Chelsea] kept him there, I advised him to see how it goes until January, otherwise it’s right to look around for another solution.

“The important thing is that the boys play. If they find a team in Italy, even better. But the experience abroad is also formative. For example, after playing in Switzerland, I found [Mattia] Zanotti to have improved a lot and grown a lot.”

With all the quality that Enzo Maresca has at CHELSEA already, it is easy to see why Casedai cannot get the game time. But a loan move will do the lad some good as ne needs to play.
