£30M arrival GREAT SIGNING for Chelsea – Maresca wants £100M man – Chelsea in talks over forward

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Former Leicester City and Chelsea defender Robert Huth has said that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is a ‘great signing’ for the Blues and has given an insight into the work that the player does off the pitch.

Under Enzo Maresca’s guidance and with Dewsbury-Hall a driving force in the middle of the pitch, the Foxes secured immediate promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

His performances last season prompted the Blues to splash the cash this summer and KDH joined in a £30 million deal from Leicester City at the start of the month, a deal that shock many in the media.

But Huth has claimed that KDH will be a great signing for CHELSEA – Speaking to Gambling.com, Huth said: “I think he’s a great signing, I really do. With his energy, his vision, it also fits the profile as well as he’s still young. It’s going to be a challenge for him to get into that midfield for sure, because they’ve got some good players there at Chelsea.

“I really do like him, when I sort of finished at Leicester he came through as a young kid so I know what he’s like and I know his work ethic. He’s first one in, last one out.

“I’m kind of disappointed he left Leicester, but I think for him it’s a great challenge. He’s a fantastic player. Maresca obviously knows him from Leicester so from the outside it makes sense, both for him and for CHELSEA.”

DIOMANDE WANTED –

Chelsea are very interested in a potential Summer swoop for Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande, sources have claimed.

There is still a lot of speculation surrounding the players that Enzo Maresca will look to sign during the summer window, especially now that Thiago Silva has left the club and decided to head back to Brazilian football.

That has led to some rumours in the media which have claimed that CHELSEA tried to get a transfer deal done for Diomande in the last few days of the last January window, but a €35million (£30m) bid rejected.

Diomande, who has an 100m release clause, quickly became a regular in the Sporting defence following his arrival at the start of the year, making his European debut against the Gunners in the Europa League.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The Portuguese giants are said want the centre-back’s full release clause if they are to even contemplate selling the Ivorian, 20, but the MSN website believe the Blues are still taking a look at Diomande.

Reporter Iomie Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘Diomande has been very impressive this season and it would be interesting to see if he could handle the pressure of playing for one of the big clubs in the Premier League.

‘And the fact that he would add depth to the squad for not a lot of money, it could be a great buy from that CHELSEA board and could be a player that adds some more quality to that Blues squad.

‘Many Chelsea fans would like to see a striker make the move to the club in the coming window – but Diomande would still be a good signing at the end of the season’

ADEYEMI TALKS –

Real Madrid and England star Bellingham has admitted that not many players can stop Chelsea transfer target Karim Adeyemi.

The German winger is catching the eye of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United too according to reports with the Blues considering him as a long-term replacement for Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea are claimed to be interested in Adeyemi, with reports in Germany claiming that the club are ‘already in contact’ with the forward as they ‘want to persuade him to move to the UK’

Recent reports detail that an offer is in the works with Dortmund open to cashing in on Adeyemi.

It is also said that Sterling could be subject to a bid from Saudi side Al Ahli, which would open up space and funds for a new signing at Stamford Bridge.

Bellingham has previously praise his former Borussia Dortmund teammate after the German’s goal against CHELSEA in the Champions League last year.

“We are really confident when he gets the ball one on one. Not many players can stop him,” the England midfielder told BT Sport. “He had a tough time coming here at the start – finding his feet – and now he’s flying.”

IcFootballnews View…

Adeyemi is another exciting player that does not need to leave his current club right now – he is developing very nicely at Dortmund and a move to the Premier League at this stage of his career could ruin his development.

If CHELSEA get the lad – he would be a very exciting signing – but we simply cannot see him making the move to Stamford Bridge this transfer window.
