According to Spanish newspaper AS, Viktor Gyokeres does not want to leave Sporting Clube de Portugal this month despite the many reports that he is one of the players that ARSENAL are very much interested in signing.

Gyokeres is a man that is making some big noise across Europe after developing into one of the very best strikers in Europe right now, and there has been alot of talk that the Premier League giants could make a move for the man in the transfer window.

The striker has 31 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions so far this season, and reports claims that the Premier League is his ‘most likely’ destination for the Swedish star should he move away from Sporting.

ARSENAL have already had a first hand look at Gyokeres having played against Sporting in the Champions League, and have seen why he is a striker that could make the move to the Emirates and make an impact.

Mikel Arteta knows adding a striker like Gyokeres to the side could bring that Premier League title back to the club, but right now, keeping him quiet is the most important thing for the result.

There has been so much speculation about who ARSENAL could sign this January window, there has been alot of players linked with a move to the Emirates, Gyokeres is a man that could really benefit from that Gunners attack.

However – the way that Mikel Arteta likes to play the game, he will probably want a striker that is more agile, someone like Alexander Isak.

But we are sure that if Arteta wants a striker this January window, he will get the backing of the board, especially as they are only six points behind leaders Liverpool for that Premier League title
