Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Former Liverpool star Jose Enrique has urged shock Arsenal transfer target Marcus Rashford to quit Manchester United.

Rashford has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season and looks nothing like the player that netted 30 goals for MAN UNITED  just a few seasons ago.

He has really struggled this season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils, which is not good enough for a player of his ability.

However – there is talk that Man United would be open to the idea of letting their academy star leave the club and there has been some stunning speculation that ARSENAL may be interested in a potential deal for the man.

It is no secret that Mikel Arteta is a fan of the Manchester lad and would be open to adding his pace and goal-threat to the squad should the opportunity, and now Enrique has urged the attacker to quit Man United.

Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, he said: “In my opinion, he 100% has to leave Manchester United. There’s too much pressure on his shoulders now and people are criticising him too frequently. He’s never out of the spotlight.

“I just think that mentally for Rashford, Manchester United has really affected him, he became the club’s talisman at a young age and that is a lot of pressure – he needs to leave England.”

Rashford is a player that MAN UNITED are reportedly ready to let go at the end of the season, along with a number of other stars. We dont know what is going on with him but he should be scoring more than he currently is.

We can see him in that ARSENAL side, but not starting on a weekly basis.

ISAK WILL COST £150 MILLION

Newcastle United will demand in excess of £150 million from Arsenal to sell Alexander Isak this summer.

Isak had an incredible season for the Toon this campaign and notched 24 goals for the club – but his performances has led to alot of speculation in the media that ARSENAL are interested in a potential deal.

It has been suggested on many occasions that Newcastle will not be keen on selling the big striker – but despite all that – there is still talk that the Gunners board will make an offer to try and get the Swedish star all signed up.

However, The Telegraph reports that Newcastle are not contemplating selling Isak this summer, with Eddie Howe considering the Sweden international as a focal part of his future plans.

The report claims that Newcastle have ‘laughed’ at reports suggesting that a £90m offer would be accepted for Isak and that Arsenal would need to double that bid in order for discussions to take place.

Amid all the speculation Gunners legend Ian Wright has come out and urged his former club to bring in the Swedish striker at some point in the transfer window.”You look at some of the games which were really tight, you go back to the Aston Villa game where Arsenal lost,” Wright said on Premier League Productions.

“If you had that striker who could get that goal out of nothing, it settles you down, you get the goal and you know you have somebody who could take half a chance.

“It’s worth its weight in gold. It gets the whole team settled. You relax and then you can start playing. If you are continually missing chances at the stage Arsenal were and none of the front guys were scoring, then you start to feel the pressure on the team

“That’s what you can’t do against Man City. You have to be able to score the goals. We did score. We scored a lot of goals this season. But I am talking about changing games and changing the way you are playing the game.

“I think they would definitely look at somebody that would fit into a very technically organised side. A team that can stretch.

‘There is a lot of talk about what’s happening with Isak at Newcastle. You look at Isak, you could say, ‘yeah [you’d take him]’ You could probably see somebody like him at ARSENAL the way he plays.

“The way he can link up. The way Mikel would want him to play in that team if it was him or a player of that stature. But we need somebody, first and foremost, who is going to take the half-chance.”

ARSENAL GET OSIMHEN BOOST –

Victor Osimhen is set to reject a move to Paris Saint-Germain ahead of next season, opening the door for Arsenal to try and get a deal done.

It is no secret that Arsenal are desperate to add another striker to the attack and it is also no secret that Osimhen is a player that the club have been eyeing up for the last couple of transfer windows.

The Big Nigeria star has already admitted that he is leaving Napoli – the Italians have already confirmed that he will be getting sold in the summer – meaning that the likes of Arsenal will be able to get a deal done if they meet the £112 million clause.

Osimhen is set to reject a move to Paris Saint-Germain ahead of next season, according to Teamtalk and the Napoli forward also plans to snub interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Osimhen finished as Serie A top scorer in 2022/23 as he powered Napoli to the title.

Reporter Iomie Stanley reckons Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is the kind of player Arsenal need this coming summer

He said: “The calibre of player Arsenal need right now i somebody who hits the ground running, a top end striker, like the [Victor] Osimhens of this world… that level of striker.

“If Arsenal want to do it now they’re going to need that level of goalscorer who will slot in straight away.

“Any ARSENAL fan will look at certain games this season and see that the club need a killer in front of goal.”
