LIVERPOOL superstar Mohamed Salah has been told he could replace Cristiano Ronaldo as the “biggest player” in the Saudi Pro League after the Reds superstar admitted that he is closer to leaving the club than staying.
Salah has been in sensational form for Liverpool this season and is one of the big reasons why the Reds sit top of the Premier League, eight points ahead of Manchester City, and looking like the side that will beat the Manchester giants.
However – there has been alot of speculation regarding the future of Mohamed Salah, he is out of contract at the end of the season and no closer to agreeing a new contract than he was at the very start of the season.
Now pundit Lee Sharpe believes Saudi Arabia is Salah’s most likely destination, if he does decide to leave Anfield, and says he would replace Ronaldo as the biggest star in the league.
Sharpe told Racing Tipster: “I can only imagine Mohamed Salah would go to Saudi Arabia, as I don’t think anyone else will be able to afford him. There’s also nowhere else he could go in Europe that’s a bigger club, with a bigger fanbase, crowd and atmosphere than he has at Liverpool – he’s not going to go to Manchester United, that’s for sure!
‘He’ll likely just want to secure his future and have an easier life in Saudi. If he did go there, he’d be the biggest player in the Saudi Pro League – he’s still young and fit enough to dominate.
‘We see Cristiano Ronaldo doing well over there, but I think Salah is a better player and a bigger name than him these days.”

Look, nobody wants to see Mo Salah leave the club, but at this stage of his career, he has done everything and may want that massive payday to make the move to Saudi.
And although LIVERPOOL fans would be said to se the player leave, he has done alot for the club over the years and his goals have helped the club win so much.
ZUBIMENDI BOOST
It has been claimed that long-term LIVERPOOL target Martin Zubimendi has made the decision to leave Real Sociedad in the January window, and is regretting his decision to stay at the Spaniards in the summer.
Zubimendi was one of the many players that Liverpool were heavily linked with in the summer window and a player that Arne Slot had high up on the shopping list of players he wanted.
But despite all the speculation and rumours – he stayed put and committed himself to Real – but it has been claimed in recent days that Man City are looking to seal a deal as they seek an immediate replacement for the injured Rodri.
Now, Spanish outlet TDF say that Zubimendi is regretting his decision to remain loyal with Sociedad. The report claims Zubimendi “aims to leave in January” and is “counting the weeks until he makes the jump to the Premier League”.

Look, if the reports are true and the midfielder has made the decision to leave Sociedad in the summer, then having the top two Premier League clubs to choose from will be a bi decision to make.
LIVERPOOL are looking like the side that will win the Premier League this season, but Man City are a side that dominate most seasons, and he could have an opportunity to work under Pep Guardiola.
The January window is just around the corner, so it will be interesting to see just what happens and who he could join.
But we would not be surprised to see that this is just a rumours, and Zubimendi waits until the summer to get that big transfer move.
SALAH SLAMMED
Reds icon Jamie Carragher has laid into LIVERPOOL star Mohamed Salah after the striker admitted that he is closer to leaving the club than staying after failing to agree a new contract.
Salah has 12 goals and 10 assists in 18 games in all competitions this season and was the hero again last time out as the Premier League leaders came from behind to beat Southampton to extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points.
But there is still alot of speculation regarding the future of the attacker as clubs will be able to agree terms with the Egyptian for an end-of-season move in January, something that Liverpool fans do not want to see happen.
Salah even hinted that a move away is closer to happening than staying – He told reporters: “We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club. I’m probably more out than in. You know I have been in the club for many years.
‘There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future. I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see.”
“Of course, [I’m disappointed] yeah. I’m not going to retire soon so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed but we will see.
“I’m very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible. I’m just doing my best because this is who I am and I try to give it all for myself and for the club. We will see what happens next.”
However, Carragher was disappointed in what Salah said, believing the Egyptian was being selfish during a hugely important time for the team on the pitch.
‘Of course there have been discussions,’ Carragher told Sky Sports. ‘Right now, there’s obviously a big difference in the valuation – what Mo Salah and his agent value themselves at, whether that’s financially or in terms of length of contract, to what Liverpool do.
‘The reason LIVERPOOL haven’t offered a contract yet is because Mo Salah will turn it down. So they are still in talks, I am desperate for them to meet in the middle.
‘But I must say, I am very disappointed in Mo Salah. That interview, Liverpool have got Real Madrid in midweek and they’ve got Manchester City at the weekend – that’s the story for Liverpool right now.
‘Mo Salah, we’re all quite aware, certainly the local reporters in Liverpool, that in the seven years he’s been at the football club, he’s stopped in the mixed zone twice – which is his right. Absolutely fine.
‘But he decides to stop for the third time away at Southampton on the back of winning Liverpool the game. The most important thing for Liverpool Football Club this season is not the future of Mo Salah. It’s not the future of Virgil van Dijk and it’s not the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
‘The most important thing is Liverpool winning the Premier League. That is more important than any of those players, and if he continues to put comments out, or his agent keeps putting tweets out, that’s selfish. That’s thinking about themselves and not the football club.’
