Solskjaer has Liverpool, Man City warning and Man United to make £50m Premier League move
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned both Liverpool and Manchester City his side will have a say in the Premier League title race.
Since the arrival of Solskjaer just a few months ago, United have transformed their chances of getting back into a top four spot and Champions league football next season, with an impressive 10 wins from his eleven matches.
His side are playing with energy, excitement and confidence and are now just eleven points off City after picking up another 3-0 victory at the weekend against struggling Fulham, and Solskjaer has warned his Red Devils side will have a say on who wins the Premier League.
Both Liverpool and City are favourites to win the Premier League title this season, with just three points separating the two at the top of the table.
‘No [not title] it’s too far, the teams are [too far] ahead,’ Solskjaer was quoted on the Metro website.
‘But we have [to play] Liverpool and City so we might have a say in what is happening at the top of the table’.
Meanwhile, Reports have claimed United are lining up a £50 million move for Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon.
Sessegnon was crowned the Championship player of the season last year for Fulham as he helped the Londoners get back into the Premier League with an impressive sixteen goals and eight assists, but this season he has struggled to regain that kind of form.
Boss Claudio Ramieri has even limited his game time this season, as Fulham struggle at the bottom of the table and it has led to a lot of speculation that Fulham will cash in on the youngster at the end of the season if they receive an offer of around £50 million.
And according to reports on the Metro website, United are ready to reignite their interest in the talented youngster and would be willing to meet the £50 million valuation, knowing Sessegnon would not want to head back down to the Championship.
Here is what we think.
Solskjaer is right and United will have a say in who wins the Premier League title this season, as they are playing the kind of football which will cause real problems for both City and Liverpool.
And a deal for Sessegnon could be a great investment for the club if they can secure a transfer deal as the talented winger is destined to become one of the best in the Premier League, but £50 million is a lot of money for his services right now as he is not close to the finished article.
