£50M star wants to sign up with Chelsea – Chelsea make £40M transfer decision- Brazilian opens door to move

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Thiago Silva has left his options open as he is linked with a return to Fluminense when his CHELSEA contract expires.

Everybody doubted that Thiago SIlva would be able to compete at the level he has over the past 15 years because of his age – and many believed he could not handle the Premier League.

However – that has not been the case and he has been one of the best central defenders in the Premier League – and a real leader for the Blues ever since he arrived at the club.

But there has been alot of speculation in the media that Thiago Silva could be one of the big names that leaves the club as the Blues look to the future, and the Brazilian has now left the door open for an exit from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

‘This relationship has been going on for a long time, right,’ Thiago Silva told Globo’s Esporte Espetacular of Fluminense. ‘But I prefer to remain silent at this moment, as there has already been some controversy in the recent past.

‘I now have a family, I have children. So we have to think about this aspect too. It’s about seeing where things can bring us happiness, to finish this beautiful and successful career that I believe I have achieved.’

Former CHELSEA defender William Gallas spoke last month of how he feels the Brazilian is playing like he knows it is his last season: ‘Thiago Silva knows that it is going to be a very difficult season for him,’ Gallas told Genting Casino in September.

‘He knows that this is his last season, and he doesn’t have the right support around him.

‘A player like Thiago Silva, who is thirty-eight-years-old, normally would be looking to the younger players to lift him, to help him with their quality.

‘Chelsea doesn’t have that quality at the moment. It looks like he has to manage everything at the back. During the game against Bournemouth [which finished goalless], he was trying to explain to the midfield where they have to go when he has the ball. That shouldn’t be happening.’

GALLAGHER TO SIGN –

Conor Gallagher is open to signing a new contract at Chelsea after becoming a key player under Mauricio Pochettino.

Gallegher had been in the transfer headlines alot this summer as it was believed that CHELSEA would have allowed him to depart the club if the right offer was made.

That has led to constant speculation in the media that West Ham are very keen to try and get a deal done for the midfielder – and even made an offer of £40 million, which was rejected by the Blues as they were seeking closer to £50 million for Gallagher.

He has featured in the opening weeks of the season for Mauricio Pochettino and is beginning to look like the player that many tipped to become a world class act just a few seasons ago.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

According to the latest reports on the TalkSport website, Gallagher is now all set to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

The report says that Gallagher has been a mainstay of Pochettino’s midfield and has even donned the captain’s armband and the Blues are now expected to open talks over a new deal.

There is no doubt that Gallagher is a talented midfielder that could shine under Pochettino – so if the boss wants him at CHELSEA – stay. Especially as there is a place for him in the side.

There has been so much speculation about his future for seasons now, so this new deal will kind of end the immediate speculation surrounding his future and keep him settled.

However – he needs to keep on performing for Chelsea and putting in the good performances because the Blues are constantly signing new players, so he will be tested on a regular basis.

CHALOBAH TO MOVE –

CHELSEA were one of the most active sides in the transfer window over the past few months and managed to bring in a whole load of players that the board feel will help drive the club forward over the next couple of seasons.

However – there were also a number of players that the club no longer wanted to keep hold of and Chalobah was on the chopping board at Stamford Bridge.

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that he believed Nottingham Forest and the Blues shook hands on a £25m deal for Chalobah after Bayern Munich saw a move of their own for the Chelsea No.14 break down, but he made the decision to stay and fight for his place in the Blues squad.

Tottenham were also linked with a late deadline day loan deal. The north Londoners are long-term admirers of the defender and could return for him in the January transfer window.

But, now it seems the decision has been made to let the star leave the club in the winter window, according to reports on the Goal website, which have claimed that Bayern Munich have once again reignited their interest in the Chelsea ace.

WILL CHELSEA REALLY LET CHALOBAH LEAVE?

It has come as a shock to hear that CHELSEA were willing to let Chalobah depart the club in the last transfer window – especially with the injuries and exits that have occurred this summer.

It will be a shame for the lad if he is forced out of the club as he actually wants to be there – and that is the type of player that Mauricio Pochettino wants at Stamford Bridge.

However – if Chelsea are really keen to offload and Bayern are keen, it would be a great move for the lad.
