£51 Million midfielder ‘VERY CLOSE’ to joining Manchester United!

It has been claimed that PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte is closing in on a move to Manchester United.

Ugarte, 23, joined the French club from Sporting last summer after spending the previous two-and-a-half seasons in Portugal. He moved to Europe from South America as a teenager, months after debuting for the senior Uruguay side

While he was a first-team regular during the first-half of the season under Luis Enrique, he lost his place in the side in the second-half of the season and there has been alot of speculation about his next move.

It has been no secret that Manchester United have been very keen to get a deal done for the player over the past few weeks and have been in regular contact with PSG about a possible deal for the former Sporting CP midfielder.

Now Ugarte is reportedly “close” to joining Man United and is expected to depart the French champions this summer, according to Diego Munoz: “He is close to United. Ugarte is not going to continue at PSG. Luis Enrique has already told him that he is not going to take him into account.”

“He was not comfortable with the team either, and so options open up. PSG want to release Ugarte to someone who will put part of the money that they invested in the Uruguayan footballer and Manchester United is willing, and given this, they are most likely his future team”

Reports have claimed the Red Devils view Ugarte as a long-term successor to Casemiro, but the Ligue 1 giants are demanding £50m for their midfielder, which is a fee that the United board are reportedly not ready to pay.

It has been a shock to see that Ugarte is leaving PSG – he done nothing wrong last season and looked decent – but he could be a very solid signing for Man United that is for sure.
