£51M star reveals if He’s joining Arsenal this summer window

Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi has rejected the chance to move to Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal were looking to add a few more players to the side during the last summer window and were heavily linked with a move for the impressive Zubimendi – who has been very good over in La Liga over the past few seasons

In the end however, ARSENAL FC made the decision to move for a few other players and opted to not splash the £53 million it would have taken to bring Zubimendi to the Premier League.

Barcelona are also keen but their financial troubles have allowed Arsenal sporting director Edu to take an ‘aggressive’ approach. The north Londoners reportedly made contact with Zubimendi’s entourage and were reportedly dangerously close to a potential deal for the star according to reports.

It is sidely expected that the Gunners will once again try to make a move for Zubimendi at some point after the Euros are over – but it seems that the midfielder ha snow desire to leave his current club just yet.

Speaking to El Diario Vasco, via ED, he said: “Where am I going to play next season?

“I’m going to be at Real Sociedad. I have a contract with Real Sociedad and that’s where I’m most comfortable.”

Zubimendi has been brilliant for Sociedad over the past few seasons and we can easily see why the ARSENAL scouts too such an interest in the man, he really has been impressive.

It is probably the right decision to stay put for now – there is no need to move clubs at this stage of his career.
