£52M star told join Man United – United urged to sign Striker – Ten Hag encouraged to sign defender
Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Teddy Sheringham has told Manchester United to sign Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi this summer window.
Manchester United have been looking at adding some quality players to the side over the next few weeks in order to keep on improving the side – And Guehi is a man that as been linked with a move to the club.
Guehi has just two years left on his contract at Selhurst Park having reportedly turned down talks to extend his deal and Sheringham believes United should capitalise and try to lure the 24-year-old to Old Trafford this summer.
‘After the way Marc Guehi played for England during the Euros, I’d quite happily see Manchester United go for him,’ he told Online Poker.
‘I think he could be a star for the club over the next few years. He’s already got a lot of leadership qualities at a young age through his captaincy of Crystal Palace and he just seems assured in everything he does.
‘That’s what United need at the back – leadership and composure. They played with far too many centre-back partnerships last season and you could tell there was no cohesion between the players and goalkeeper even towards the end of the season.
‘Guehi was probably one of the standout performers for an England team that got to the final and one of the players that avoided criticism throughout, so he’s shown he can do it on the big stage, and there’s no bigger stage in English football than Manchester United.’

Guehi is a quality defender and is totally ready for a move to Manchester United – if they actually decide to make a move and try to get some kind of transfer deal done.
UNITED TOLD TO SIGN IVAN TONEY –
Manchester United have been urged to bring Brentford striker Ivan Toney to the club as back-up to help Rasmus Hojlund.
There was alot of speculation in the January window that Ivan Toney was a player that Erik Ten Hag wanted to be signed for Manchester United as he wanted to add some more goals to his struggling attack.
However – despite all the speculation and all the rumours – the Financial Fair Plays rules keeping all the Premier League clubs on their toes – there was not too much business this January transfer window, which frustrated alot of fans.
Toney is a player that has been linked with a move away from Brentford all season – despite the fact that he has only just returned from time away from the game – but it seems that there will be a chance to get a deal done in the summer after Brentford reportedly decided they will cash in on the big man.
The Athletic have claimed that the Bees would be willing to accept a bid worth £40m for the striker.
Now – According to recent reports – Toney wants to join the Red Devils this summer and his agent has already informed Brentford of his desire to leave
Now – Paul Ince believes bringing in either Ollie Watkins or Ivan Toney can help the young Dane thrive next season – Ince exclusively told Ladbrokes 1-2 Free: “That’s so many areas of the pitch you would say need improving.
I think that’s what we need to get; a top, top striker, like an Ollie Watkins, like an Ivan Toney.
“Someone like that, who knows the league, to play up-front, and let Hojlund take his time and settle in.”

Look, Manchester United have just signed Joshua Zirkzee and with Hojlund in the side – there is no more need to add another striker to the side and that is why we cant see Ivan Toney making the move to Old Trafford this transfer window.
YORO TOLD TO JOIN UNITED –
Lille star Leny Yoro has been told to join Manchester United this summer transfer window.
Manchester United lost Rafa Varane just last month after the decision was made to let him leave the club on a free – and that means that Man United have been looking for an immediate replacement for the Frenchman.
Madrid have long been touted as Yoro’s preferred destination but Louis Saha is hopeful United can convince the player to snub overtures from the Spanish capital by offering a higher salary.
“Yes [they should offer more money] because that’s the position Manchester United are in right now because they’re not in the Champions League and Real Madrid are the holders of it,” Saha told Betfred.
“It’s as simple as that. There are factors that attract players and sometimes you need to look at your trajectory and chances of progression.
“That will be part of Yoro’s decision, but it won’t stop him dreaming about playing for other clubs. Manchester United may not be in the Champions League this season, but we could be in a strong position in two or three years time, so anything can change.
“Life doesn’t stop today, you need to think about what can happen in future also
“I definitely see a better structure at Manchester United and this is something that Yoro could be aware of and on the table for him to consider, so hopefully he can make the right decision.”

Yoro is a brilliantly gifted young defender that has the potential to develop into one of the best defenders in the game – so if united the player – he could be very good in the coming seasons.
