£52M star ‘will ask to LEAVE’ Chelsea in upcoming January window
Glenn Hoddle has questioned if Christopher Nkunku wants to stay at CHELSEA and claims the attacker is one of several Stamford Bridge players who could ask to leave the club in January.
Nkunku was signed before the start to last season for Chelsea, and although bis first season at the club was hampered by injuries, he has had a much better campaign this time around and is scoring goals for fun.
Nicolas Jackson has been criticised for his wayward finishing since his move to Stamford Bridge, but is seemingly the player that Enzo Maresca believes will be the club long-term number one striker, and has been given more opportunities to shine under the Italian.
Hoddle believes Nkunku would be ‘more clinical’ than Jackson if offered the same opportunities and has suggested the French forward may look to leave if his game-time continues to be limited.
Speaking on TNT Sports ahead of CHELSEA’s clash against Panathinaikos, Hoddle said of Nkunku: ‘The injuries are obviously there, he knows he’s not quite at his sharpest yet.
‘When I look at Chelsea’s forwards, I think Nkunku would be more clinical than Nicolas Jackson if he had the same time on the pitch and had his chances so far this season.
‘Jackson is obviously improving and getting more confident, he has the manager’s faith and backing right now.
‘Whether Nkunku is going to be happy… he might be one that will think he needs to leave come January if this is still happening.’

We are not sure what is going on with Nkunku – we are not sure if he is considering leaving the club as there is quite a few links with PSG. But he wants to play every week and every game, so seeing Jackson get more minutes on the pitch must be frustrating the man that is for sure.
There will be interest, there will be rumours, but if Nkunku keeps on scoring and Jackson doesnt, the Frenchman should get his chance.
