Solskjaer told £65 million will wrap up deal to bring brilliant Spanish defender to Manchester United this summer
Manchester United have been told that they will have to pay £65 million in order to sign Pau Torres this transfer window
United are in the headlines on a daily basis with constant reports that the club are talking to possible targets about a summer move to Old Trafford, especially as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to improve that back-line
The Red Devils back-line may have improved over the past 12 months, but they have already shipped too many goals in the Premier League and Solskjaer knows that he needs to sign a few players that will come in, and improve the back-line enough for a Premier League challenge, with Torres on the shopping list.
The 23-year-old defender has been outstanding for Villarreal after returning from an impressive loan stint with Malaga, and United were considering a January swoop for the Spanish centre-back before deciding not to sign anybody.
Recent reports have claimed United have joined the likes of Arsenal in the chase for the defender and may be ready to pay the money it would take to seal a transfer deal.
Now the AS website has claimed that United will have to pay close to £65 million this transfer window in order to sign the very talented young defender
The Villarreal starlet recently hinted at a potential move to the Premier League by revealing that he’s been learning English to pass the time amid the coronavirus lockdown.
He told El Periodico Mediterraneo: “In the morning I do the training regime and then I eat in line with the guidelines established by the club.
United definitely need to improve this back-line in the summer and for £65 million, Torres could be a very decent signing for the club.
