Boss confirms talks to happen – Chelsea deal for brilliant midfielder wanted!
Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has refused to rule out a transfer for Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher has been a player that has impressed in the Premier League tis season while on loan with Palace – and managed eight goals for the club – while also managing to get an England call-up.
He is set to return to Chelsea in the summer – but there has been alot of speculation that he is still very much open to the idea of departing Chelsea on a more permanent basis – with a number of clubs reportedly interested.
Now – Vieira has opened up and suggested that he is very much keen to talk to Chelsea about a deal for Gallagher – he said: “Conor has been fantastic for us.
“He felt like he is at home the way he has been performing for us. He understands the way that we want to play the game, and he brings his energy and his determination.
“We know that he has to go back to Chelsea. Then, what will happen? We don’t know.
“But what is important is that he came for a year, and he worked hard and worked well, and he gave something to the team and the football club. It was a win-win.
“He was really happy with us. He played really well, which allowed him to go to England. He’s happy, so we are happy”

Gallagher is a brilliantly gifted midfielder that should be playing every week
If he returns to Chelsea – we are not sure that he will get the game time that he currently is and all that developing that he has been doing over at Palace – will just be for nothing
He will surely sit down with Chelsea and Tuchel and talk about where he fits into that squad – but at the end of the day – if he cannot get a guarantee that he will be given a real chance – then he should consider leaving
