£60 million rated midfielder to ‘go to the next level’ when he completes Arsenal move

Kevin Campbell expects James Maddison to ‘go to that next level’ if he completes a move to Arsenal

After the Gunners lost out to Aston Villa in the race to prise Emiliano Buedia away from Norwich, and then saw Dani Ceballos also leave the club and head back to the Bernabeu, the club have been eyeing up a number of possible signings

And that has led to many reports in the media that Arsenal are eyeing up a move for Maddision.

Over the past few seasons, Maddison has developed into one of the very best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and is reportedly interested in a move to the Emirates

Now reports in the media have claimed that the camp of Maddison is now expecting an approach from the Gunners this summer

‘It’s really exciting to hear he’s on our radar. I like him, I think he is a brilliant player,’ ex-Arsenal forward Campbell told Football Insider when asked about the rumours surrounding Maddison.

‘He is still just 24 so he is a good age. He is a young, talented player. If he comes to Arsenal I believe he can go to that next level.

‘The sticking point will be the fee, though, because I believe Leicester are asking for crazy money at the moment.

‘I know he is a very good player but £70million quid is a lot of money. It will be very interesting to see if Arsenal can get that price down a bit.’

Look, Maddison is a top class player that is worth alot of money, but despite the fact Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the game, they are not at the level they were just a a few seasons ago.
