£60M star ‘says yes’ to Arsenal move, Gunners free to sign January bargain, Arsenal wants Premier League giant

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed today…

The Mirror has outlined Benjamin Sesko’s ‘willingness’ to join ARSENAL – with the reports suggesting that the in-demand RB Leipzig striker has already said yes to a transfer move to the Emirates.

The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea have long been credited with an interest in Sesko, who has scored 30 goals in 66 games for RB Leizpig, and there was talk that moves were made in the last summer window.

However – despite all the speculation and all the rumours, Sesko snubbed a move to the Premier League and made the decision to stay put at RB, Where he is continuing his development into a top striker.

However – It’s said the RB Leipzig striker favours a move to ARSENAL ahead of Man United and Chelsea. And the 21-year-old is thought to have negotiated a £60million ‘gentleman’s agreement’ that would allow him to leave at the end of the season. The Bundesliga club intend to stick to that arrangement – unless a club makes a huge offer in January.

Barcelona are also said to be interested in Sesko, although their financial restrictions will be a hurdle.

Amid all the speculation and rumours, former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he is ‘happy’ to have Benjamin Sesko at RB Leipzig and believes the young striker has great potential, he recently said: ‘I was pretty impressed, he played a good game. He’s a good player anyway.

‘I’ve actually known him for a while, I knew him already when he was at Salzburg. I think we played a friendly game here when he was very, very young.

‘I was really impressed, I thought, “Where do they get all these players?, ridiculous.’

‘I have no plans with him, just to make that clear. Don’t get it wrong, I will not show up in training and tell them what to do,’ Klopp added

‘Our plan, and I don’t have to ask Marco Rose what his plan is with him [Sesko], I know it… he wants to help him score as many goals as possible.

‘He has space for improvement, space for development, incredible skillset, incredible potential so I’m happy that we have him.’

ARSENAL GET CHERKI CHANCE

ARSENAL have the chance to sign Lyon winger Rayan Cherki for a cut-price fee in the January transfer window, according to reports as his current side are willing to let the attacker leave.

The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in France, scoring six goals and registering seven assists in 22 appearances for Lyon so far this season, and he is reportedly a player that all the big clubs have been very interested in signing for the last few years,

Lyon’s precarious financial situation means that the French club have been banned from making any new signings in the January transfer window, and according to Sky Germany, Lyon have a verbal agreement in place with Cherki where the club would allow him to leave if they receive an offer worth €22.5m (£19m).

PSG, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in a possible move for the winger.

What we have seen from that board in the last couple of windows, is that if Arsenal want a player, they will pay whatever it takes to get a transfer deal done and sign the stars the club needs.

Cherki is a real talent guys, he could be a brilliant addition to that Arsenal squad if they reignite their interest in the winter window, which we believe will happen as they want to keep on improving the side and add some depth to the squad.

For the money that is being talked about, the lad is certainly a player that Mikel Arteta would love to have in the side and a player that could develop into a class act. But there are a few other clubs that are probably willing to offer far more money.

Add that to the fact that ARSENAL already have a number of wingers, Cherki may not even be interested in a move to the Emirates.

ARSENAL INTERESTED HUIJSEN

The likes of ARSENAL are said to be on alert for Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen, as Fabrizio Romano has claimed that he may decide to leave the Cherries in the summer transfer window.

Huijsen, 19, has quickly established himself as a regular at the heart of Andoni Iraola’s defence following a £13million move from Juventus to the Vitality Stadium in the summer transfer window.

The imposing 6 ft 5 in centre-half has caught the eye with a string of assured defensive displays while providing a strong aerial presence at the other end of the pitch, and According to Spanish publication AS, Huijsen’s performances have not gone unnoticed amongst Europe’s elite, with Madrid keeping close tabs on the Spain Under-21 international this season.

The report adds that ARSENAL and Manchester United are providing competition for Huijsen and have started to ‘position themselves with enquiries about his contract situation’

However – Huijsen’s current contract with Bournemouth runs through to the summer of 2030 and the Cherries are in no hurry to cash in on the highly rated youngster, although he could force a move at the end of the season.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said: “One to watch. He’s doing fantastic, incredible season for Huijsen. I can guarantee you that all the big clubs in England and not only are keeping close eyes on his performances of Huijsen.

“Bournemouth don’t want to see the player in January, they have closed the doors at the moment – this is the clear position of the club.

‘My personal feeling is that in the summer, we will talk a lot about him because there are top clubs in England, not only but especially in England that are closely monitoring the excellent progress of Huijsen.”

Huijsen has kind of potential that could make him a big-time player for one of the big footballing clubs, but only if he makes the right move at the right time, he is still very young and has alot of developing to do.

If he is ready to make that step up, then there are clubs interested, but maybe the bets thing for the lad to do is stay for a few seasons and then make the move up?
