£60m target can ‘be Gazza of his generation’ United told £36 million to sign defender, Grealish compared to Hazard and Pogba told to leave

Grealish – Gazza claim made, Man United told £36 million for David Carmo, Pogba told to leave for Juve amd Grealish compared to Hazard in Manchester United roundup…

Manchester United target Jack Grealish can become the Paul Gascoigne of his generation, claims Bryan Robson

Grealish has been in the transfer headlines alot over the past few weeks, as his performances in the Premier League this season have once again led to alot of speculation in the media that he will eventually make the move to a bigger club.

Robson is convinced it all does not have to end in tears for the Aston Villa star the way it did for Gazza. Captain Marvel is blown away by how much 25-year-old Grealish reminds him of the superstar he played with and went on to manage.

He was quoted on TalkSport: “No English player in recent years has excited me as much as Grealish does. It’s the way he glides past people, his range of passing, he’s so pleasing on the eye.

“Grealish is always on the front foot, always looking to create. It’s what Gazza loved doing, using his ability to go past defenders on both sides, scoring great goals, pleasing the crowd. And some of Grealish’s goals have been outstanding.

“You can see that, just like Gazza, he loves what he’s doing in being able to manipulate the ball.

“Grealish has got that natural ability the same as Gazza. It’s what sets them apart from the rest.”

Manchester United will have to pay £36 million ($48m) if they want to prise David Carmo from Braga, it has been claimed.

It is no secret in the media that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to get the transfer business done in the summer window that he needed, as the club were too fixated on trying to secure a transfer deal for Jadon Sancho.

In the Solskjaer only managed to bring Alex Telles, Donny Van De Beek and Edinson Cavani to the club, but he failed to bring in a new centre-back that could add a bit more pace to that back-line.

But ahead of the January transfer window, there has been some speculation in the media that United have been showing a real interest in trying to secure a deal for Carmo, and are even ready to pay around £20 million to wrap up a winter deal.

However, claims on The Athletic have suggested that United will have to stump up a massive £36 million if they want to bring Carmo to the club

His release clause has risen again on the back of signing a new contract, and Braga have no intention of letting him leave unless the asking price is met.

Struggling Manchester United star Paul Pogba has been told he ‘will be happy again’ if he returns to Juventus by Claudio Marchisio.

Pogba has struggled to live up to the hype since his move back to Old Trafford a few seasons ago, with injuries and inconsistent form meaning Red Devils fans have only seen glimpses of his best.

As a result, a transfer elsewhere has been mooted, with the player himself leaving the door open to Real Madrid over the last few windows, and his agent also admitting that he could leave the club in the next couple of windows.

The French World Cup winner, 27, has been benched for the last two Red Devils games after conceding a penalty in the 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal and it seems that he no longer part of the plans under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, although the club will say different.

But Marchisio, who spent 25 years in the Juve system and played with Pogba during the Frenchman’s stint in Turin between 2012-16, believes his former protege can achieve happiness if he comes back to Juventus Stadium.

“Please Paul Pogba – Come to Juventus….you will be happy again. Me too,” Marchisio tweeted in response to a post on the social media platform from Pogba.

Ashley Cole has backed long-term Manchester United target Jack Grealish to be part of England’s Euro 2020 squad and compared him to former Blues team-mate Eden Hazard.

The Aston Villa star, 25, has made a real impact on the Premier League since he helped Villa get back to the top division and his performances over the past 18 months has led to alot of speculation in the media.

Chelsea have been linked, Arsenal have been linked, Manchester United are still keen and even Tottenham have been keeping a close eye on his development, as all the top clubs feel that he is ready to play at the very highest level of the game.

Grealish made his international debut in September before following it up with appearances in the victories over Wales and Ireland, and away from all the transfer speculation, Cole was watching on from the Sky Sports studio and saw enough to convince him that Grealish will have a role to play at the European Championship next summer.

He said: “Grealish was pulling the strings and running the show. When you talk about little magicians who can win you games. He’s one of them. Grealish should go to the Euros if he keeps producing the quality he’s currently producing.

“He’s got that (Eden) Hazard quality, he can beat players left and right, can get fouls for Mason (Mount) and Harry (Kane) to take free-kicks. He will win England points.”

There is no doubt that Grealish has great ability and potential, he is far too good to be playing at a club like Villa. So even though he may be happy where he is right now, and despite the fact he will be part of that England squad in the summer, he needs to be at a club like United.

He is a little magician and just the type of player that clubs like to have in their sides.
