£65M star addresses media for first time after Liverpool transfer deal confirmed!
Luis Diaz has addressed the German media for the first time since joining Bayern Munich from LIVERPOOL in a deal that cost the Bundesliga giants £65 million.
The winger joined the German champions in a €65m move after three-and-a-half years at the Reds, where he won the Premier League title last season, and he has spoken about his move to the Bundesliga.
He said: ‘I’m very happy to be here in Munich at this great club. My first impressions have been very good. I haven’t had much time yet, but I’ve been given a very warm welcome and I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone better,” the winger said first.
On his choice to make the £65m move, Diaz added: “I’ve decided to join Bayern because it’s a club that fits with my goals. My expectations are very big, so I wanted to join a big, ambitious club. We want to win everything here and I want to help the team.”
And lastly on consultation with Florian Wirtz about Germany, the 28-year-old explained: “I spoke to Florian a few times and he told me that the Bundesliga is very intense, similar to the Premier League, that it was very physical, the stadiums are always full.
‘He also told me that Munich is a very nice city and that I’d enjoy it. He wished me luck. I thank him for that.”
IcFootballnews Says…
It was a shock to see that Luis Diaz is a player that Arne Slot did not fancy having in the squad this coming season, he is a player that works hard and produces some quality stuff.
But the money was there, LIVERPOOL have spent wisely this summer and now that he is done, there is even more space for Alexander Isak to make his move?
