£77M star open to Blues move – Bayern star opens door to Chelsea move – Spaniard to revive career at Chelsea

Kepa to revive career at Chelsea – Gvardiol open to January move – Pavard opens door to potential switch in Chelsea news of the day –

RB Leipzig star Josko Gvardiol has told the likes of Chelsea that he would consider a January transfer window move

Graham Potter has signed a five-year deal at Chelsea after the club decided to get rid of German boss Thomas Tuchel after an indifferent start to the new season.

The former Brighton boss has reportedly been assured by owner Todd Boehly that he will be given plenty of time to implement his plans for the role.

And It seems Potter already has one eye on the January transfer window, with the Blues expected to reignite their interest in a move for Gvardiol at the turn of the year, according to Bild.

Gvardiol is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most promising young defenders and remains tied down to Leipzig until the summer of 2027

It is said that Chelsea are ready to again try in their efforts to land the defender, who they reportedly offered £77 million for towards the back end of the summer transfer window – despite the reports that he has been offered a new contract

What has he said?

The defender has suggested that he will reconsider his future in January, provided Chelsea reignite their interest.

I’m happy at Leipzig, I still have a lot to learn and need to work on myself.

‘I have people who deal with it, I didn’t think about a transfer. We’ll see what happens in the winter.

‘I feel great, I’m healthy. I was a little behind at the beginning of the season due to rehabilitation.

‘Now I’m waiting for the opportunity and minutes and I’m trying to use them in the best possible way.’

There will not be players at Chelsea that Potter really wants to keep hold of – and players that he believes will not be good enough to play the kind of football that he desires

It will be interesting to see just who he goes for when the winter transfer window opens up – as he will surely be given some money to spend

But it is interesting to see that one player that Ted Boehly wanted in the summer is the same one that Potter may go for – it suggests who is doing all the transfer business for the club

That is probably why Tuchel lost a bit of his spark – he was losing control of the players that were coming and going

Kepa to revive career –

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has the chance to become number one under Graham Potter, the fans have been told

After a bright start to the new season – Chelsea made the massive decision to hand Potter the chance to manage the club – a switch that has shocked many in the game

There is no doubt that he is one of the highest rated managers in the game – and there is no doubt that many top clubs have been keeping a very close eye on him over the past few seasons – but no-one could believe the move that he has made this season

However – his arrival to the club will mean that players that have been pushed to one side now have the opportunity to push for a starting spot – stars like Kepa

Since being dropped from the side at the beginning of the 2020-2021 campaign, Kepa has been forced to watch from the bench as Edouard Mendy has gone from strength to strength between the sticks.

There has been alot of speculation about his future – with many reports suggesting that he was looking for a way out in the summer – before the Blues made the decision to keep hold

But Mendy has had a relatively poor start to the season – and according to Journalist Simon Phillips – Kepa now has the chance to impress Potter and possibly become the number one at the club

What has he said?

Phillips told GIVEMESPORT: “He’s definitely got a chance, purely because historically, he’s supposed to be a lot better on the ball than Mendy and he is, but neither of them are claiming that spot, neither of them are really playing that well at the moment.”

Pavard drops hint –

Bayern Munich ace Benjamin Pavard has hinted he could be interested in a move amid interest from the likes of Arsenal

Thomas Tuchel got the full backing of that Arsenal board over the course of the transfer window and honestly – signed some players that have made a real difference to the quality of the squad

However – there is no a new boss in Charge of the Blues and Graham Potter will be looking to sign players in the coming transfer windows that he believes will help get the club back to the very top of the game

Pavard has developed into one of the best defenders in the Bundesliga with Bayern – and was just about persuaded to stay at Bayern in the summer window despite interest from Manchester United, ChelseaFC, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

Now – the player has alerted all those clubs after admitting that he is open to the idea of leaving Bayern with just one year left on his current contract

What has he said?

Speaking to Telefoot, Pavard said: “I questioned myself, I had calls from different clubs with my agent. Afterwards, I had the Bayern coach with whom we spoke and with whom we have a good relationship.

“He made me understand that I was in his plans, that I was important for the team. Maybe one day I will go to one of these clubs, you never know what the future holds.

“I’m still a year at Bayern Munich. Afterwards, we have time to project ourselves.”
