£80 million winger told ‘Newcastle a good team to go to’ in the summer window
Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha has been told Newcastle United ‘would be a great team to go to’ this summer.
The 28-year-old’s contract at Palace does not expire until the summer of 2023, but each passing transfer window brings renewed speculation over the forward’s future, and once again, there has been speculation about his future.
Zaha has already matched his best goals return in the Premier League this season, with 10 strikes to his name and three matches left to add to that tally, but amid all the speculation that all the big clubs are interested in him, Namely ARSENAL and TOTTENHAM former Palace striker Darren Bent has surprisingly named Newcastle as an option for Zaha.
The Magpies previously tried to sign the forward twice from Manchester United, Bent told This is Futbol : “Zaha has not been that consistent this year, but we know he’s a talent. We spoke about him going to Everton, two years ago Everton would have snapped at the chance, but I don’t think he’s a player they want.
“Newcastle would be a great team to go to. He needs a bigger pedestal to play on and better players around him.”
Zaha is a brilliantly gifted winger that should be playing for one of the big clubs. But if the Toon did decide to try and get a deal done, the fans would love the player and would love that he could come to the club.
However, his £80 million transfer fee is far too high for the Toon to try and match, especially with Mike Ashley in charge.
