£80M valued star puts Chelsea back on full alert after latest decision!
Everton star and Chelsea target Jarrad Branthwaite is refusing to sign a new contract, with his current deal running out in 2027.
CHELSEA reportedly made some moves at the beginning of the transfer window in order to get hold of the defender on a permanent basis – but that £80 million valuation has become a problem for alot of chasing clubs.
But according to The Daily Mail, the England international won’t pen fresh terms at Goodison Park unless the Merseysiders can match his demands, which is something they cannot do right now.
A potential move to Chelsea has wavered in recent weeks – but Chelsea still rate the defender very highly and could make a move for Branthwaite should he come onto the market this summer, or in the future.

We are sure that Branthwaite is a little disappointed he will not be making to a bigger club this summer window.
It could have been a dream move for the young man and the only thing that stopped a potential deal – is the amount of money that Everton were demanding for a player that has done nothing in the game.
They may want to keep Branthwaite – but he clearly has big dreams and will move away in the coming seasons – even if he does manage to agree a new contract at the club in the coming weeks.
But he needs to keep focused and not dwell too much on what could have been – he is far too good to not develop over the next few seasons as he could develop into a top class defender in the coming seasons.
He is just the type of player that the CHELSEA aboard like to sign.
