PL icon tips 22-goal star to complete monster move to Chelsea in summer

Osimhen
Premier League bound?

Ian Wright has tipped CHELSEA to win the race to sign Victor Osimhen but says Blues loanee Romelu Lukaku has ‘unfinished business’ at the club.

This season Osimhen has developed into one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe – with his deadly finishing helping Napoli reach the top of Seria A and closing in on that title.

The 24-year-old has hit 22 goals in the League this season and it is no secret that the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG are all reportedly eyeing up a potential deal for the Nigerian star.

Discussing Osimhen’s sensational season at Napoli, Wright said on his Ringer FC podcast: ‘We’ve got to give him flowers man, we’ve got to.

‘I wonder where he’s going to end up? It wouldn’t surprise me if it was Chelsea. CHELSEA are going to try and get him I think.’

But, amid all the speculation – Osimhen has admitted that he is not currently thinking about his future away form the Seria A Champions, he said:

Future? Now I want to enjoy this historic moment, this is not the time to think about my future. I will forever be grateful to this league, to this competition.

As I always say, I am learning the role of a striker and with Napoli it was immediately good emotions.

‘I feel I have improved a lot, thanks especially to Luciano Spalletti and his staff, they gave me the confidence to be able to grow and score a lot of goals.”

On Lukaku’s return to Stamford Bridge, he added: ‘The word on the street is that Mauricio Pochettino wants him back.

‘He’s got unfinished business here, he’s got massive unfinished business here. If I was him, I would love to know I’m going back there and I can shut a few people up. He’s got to do that. He owes it to himself to try.’
