Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today –

Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva has advised William Saliba to think carefully about his future as speculation start to begin that Real Madrid have made him their number one transfer target for the summer.

Gilberto Silva has urged Saliba to consider staying in North London. In an interview with MyBettingSites.co.uk, Silva said, “There are many examples of players who left Arsenal for a big move but didn’t find the same success. Arsenal has a special culture and philosophy that not everyone appreciates until they’re gone.”

“The greatness of this club is often misunderstood, and it’s easy to be swayed by big offers. But building a history at Arsenal is possible, and the player must want to stay,” he added.

Despite all the recent rumours – Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Saliba is more than happy at ARSENAL – Romano wrote: “I can say there is absolutely nothing going on with Saliba and any other club. Back in the summer we had rumours about Saliba and PSG, and about Spanish clubs, but the reality is that he never considered leaving Arsenal. He extended his contract in summer 2023, and he remains very happy with life at the club, it’s fantastic for him there.

“Saliba can see the ambition under manager Mikel Arteta, and he can see how important he is in the project.

“It’s obvious that Saliba would have admirers from other big players as he’s one of the best centre-backs in the world, but it’s a compliment for the player, but nothing more than that. Saliba is very happy at Arsenal and they are very happy with him, so the intention is to continue together for the long term.”

ARSENAL TO GET MUANI CHANCE –

France international and long-term Arsenal target Randal Kolo Muani may be on his way out of Paris Saint-Germain due to underwhelming performances, according to Diario AS.

ARSENAL have a quality attack that is scoring goals on a weekly basis – but Gabriel Jesus is not good enough to score 20 goals a season, while Kai Havertz simply cannot stay fit for too long.

Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Muani before he made the switch to PSG – and could be more than interested again as they seek to continue to add a striker to their already quality attack.

Last season, Kolo Muani managed just six goals in 26 Ligue 1 appearances, and his struggles have continued this season, with only two goals so far.

Having bought from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 for a hefty €80 million, with an additional €10 million in potential add-ons, PSG are reluctant to take a financial hit and will look for at least €70 million if they decide to sell the 24-year-old forward.

If you believe reporter Iomie Stanley – he would be a good signing for Arsenal – he said: ‘Muani has been very exciting this season guys, he has been special and it is easy to see just why all the big clubs are looking at a possible move.

‘That is alot of money for a lad that has not really done too much in the game – and the fact that ARSENAL need to sign some more established players – they dont need to add Muani to the squad.

‘Mikel Arteta will know what type of player that he needs to keep this Arsenal side challenging for the side – but despite his struggles in France, Muani could still be a bery good signing for the Gunners at the right price.’

MADRID MAKE SALIBA DECISION –

There has been some big claims in the media which have claimed that Real Madrid have made Arsenal star William Saliba the clubs number one transfer target.

The Frenchman has established himself as a key player and regular under manager Mikel Arteta over the last two campaigns, playing a crucial role in their last two campaigns as they finished second behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.

He is one of the big reasons why Arsenal have been so defensively good over the past few seasons, and his partnership with Gabriel is arguably one of the very best in the Premier League and maybe even the Champions League.

There was some speculation that both Real Madrid and PSG were keen on trying to sign the Frenchman in the January window, but Arsenal do not want him to leave, and the player himself has no desire to depart the Emirates right now.

His commanding performances at the back have made him one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe and as Real looks to bolster their squad for the future, Saliba appears to be at the top of their wish list, according to reports from Le 10 Sport.

Amid all the speculation Antonio Rudiger has suggested he wants his current club to raid Arsenal and try to sign William Saliba: “To have Saliba would be great and if he continues to do what he does…” the former Chelsea star said on The Inside Scoop.

“I don’t scare nobody (Arsenal fans) but at the end of the day, it is clear, if he does what he does…”

We are sure that Madrid will try and tempt ARSENAL into selling Saliba one day and the defender may even be interested in making that move to La Liga – but for now – he is happy and is not leaving the club.

But if Madrid are looking for a long-term replacement for Rudiger – there is not many better out there that Saliba that is for sure.
