£88M valued star tipped to become Arsenal’s next big summer signing

Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby is tipped to become Arsenal’s next big summer signing.

Mikel Arteta has some pretty good transfer business last summer and in the January window and he should be proud of the players that he has managed to bring to the club – they are now Premier League title contenders.

They have spent some serious money this transfer window too and added over £200 million worth of talent to the side that will make a real difference – but the summer window is not over yet.

WHAT IS THE LATEST – 

Initially, it appeared that Moussa Diaby was content to stay with his current club in the Bundesliga during the early part of the summer. However, according to a report in the Daily Mail, the Frenchman has now expressed his desire to leave and specifically wishes to make a move to England.

And Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth believes the former PSG ace, 24, covers the squad position that ARSENAL boss Mikel Arteta is most keen to boost.

Sheth said: “I’ve just been told to keep an eye on the attacking side of the pitch, particularly on the right side as well.

“Remember a couple of summers ago they tried to sign Raphinha – he ended up going to Barcelona.

“They’re also interested in Moussa Diaby… Villa have had a bid rejected for him as well.”

Would he be a good signing for ARSENAL?

Many believe that Arsenal needs to sign a big striker – a powerful striker – a man that will give Arteta something different up top – a man that has the ability to hold the ball up and win things in the air – they do not have that

They have a number of players that can play out on the wings – a striker should be next – now a winger

So, even though Diaby is a very good player – he is not the type of star that Arsenal needs to sign right now – but he is obviously a player the club want.

And he is not worth £88 million – that is crazy money.
