£90M duo tipped for West Ham move – £50M star told join West Ham – Director confirms move may happen

Here is a roundup of the top West Ham news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

Clinton Morrison has tipped David Moyes’ WEST HAM United to sign Conor Gallagher and James Ward-Prowse.

The transfer window has been open for some time now and fans are still waiting for the club first summer signing to make their way to London Stadium.

But there has been links in the media over the past few days that both Ward-Prowse and Conor Gallagher are two players that David Moyes would like to add to his squad.

According to the Sky Sports website, West Ham United want to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea in the summer transfer window and have now made a £40 million offer for the star.

Ward-Prowse is a player that West Ham are very keen to sign this transfer window and have already made a £25 million offer, which is alot less than the £50 million that the Saints want

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

“They can afford both of them, can’t they?!” said Morrison. “I think they need both of them. It’s a big hole losing Declan Rice. I think Ward-Prowse would be fantastic. You see his dead-ball and set-pieces that he has got.

“I think Conor Gallagher. The energy he gives you is fantastic. He will get you goals and they need a bit of energy in that midfield.

“If I am David Moyes, then I am telling the chairman ‘get me both of them’.”

WILL WEST HAM GET BOTH PLAYERS?

As it stands – Chelsea are not in the mood to sell Gallagher at this stage of the summer as it would leave them short in that midfield area – so unless a crazy offer is made – it is going to be a tough battle for the WEST HAM board.

Ward-Prowse could certainly make the move to London – if the Hammers pay the right money.

LAVIA TIPPED FOR MOVE –

Jay Bothroyd has tipped David Moyes’ West Ham United to sign Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia this summer.

It is no secret that LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp is not done with his transfer business for the summer and is very much interested in a deal for the talented Lavia.

Fabinho is a man that Klopp will need to replace after his decision to make the move to Saudi Arabia  – and Lavia is a midfielder that Klopp reportedly feels is ready to come to the club and help fill the void of the Brazilian star.

It has been claimed in recent days that Liverpool have made their first official move to get Lavia signed up and offered a fee around the £37 million mark – which has been rejected by the Saints.

Lavia started against Bournemouth but was taken off at half-time, as according to journalists in attendance at St Mary’s, the teenager looked ‘uninterested’ and was ‘coasting’ through the game.

But with the Reds not able to get a transfer deal done – WEST HAM have now been tipped to secure a move for the midfielder.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID?

“I like Lavia as well,” said Bothroyd. “I know other clubs have been talking about him as well. He is a good young player.

“If you sign him, he is going to be expensive, but the way I would look at it. You can buy, he does well, then you can sell him for even more, so it could be an investment, in the end.

“West Ham are a great club, they lost a great player in Declan Rice. But those two players (Ward-Prowse and Lavia) are the ones I would be looking at if I was West Ham.”

COULD WEST HAM REALLY SIGN LAVIA?

If they offer all that £50 million and Liverpool do not – then yes he could make the move to London.

He would straight into the team at WEST HAM and would enjoy the move – but his heart is set on Liverpool and that means that is where he will probably end up.

ALVAREZ BOOST –

Ajax sporting director Sven Mislintat has confirmed that West Ham target Edson Alvarez could be departing the club this summer.

It was announced last weekend that Declan Rice is leaving the club and joining Arsenal in a deal worth £105 million – meaning the Hammers will have some serious to spend this summer.

And after the confirmation that Rice is leaving – WEST HAM have already started making their moves to try and sign some replacements for their star man.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The Football.London website has claimed that West Ham have now contacted Ajax over a possible deal for Alvarez.

The 25-year-old Mexican international has spent the last four seasons in Amsterdam, racking up 147 appearances for the club and scoring 13 goals while winning two Eredivisie titles.

According to the reports, West Ham could land him for a fee of around £40 million – less than half of the fee that the Hammers are due to receive from the sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal

Mislintat admitted the club have been contacted by interested parties but are still awaiting a concrete offer for Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

‘There are clubs that have informally enquired about him. I don’t expect an offer very soon, although you know that things can be different in the football world,’ Mislintat told Ajax Life.

‘Perhaps the interest in not as serious as everyone thinks.’

Mislintat says it is possible both players could leave but warns the longer clubs leave it, the higher their asking price will be.

‘There is no fixed deadline, but there are agreements we must have to get replacements if we have not already done so proactively’ he told Aglemeen Dagblad. Their stay or sale also depends on what we will do next.

‘The best thing for is if Kudus and Alvarez stay, then we keep two top players. But it is also possible that one goes, or both.

‘It is important for us that the relationship with the players remains good. This can be done by being transparent and applying good principles. As we get closer to the deadline, the transfer fee, for example, goes up.’
