£50M valued star ‘would be very good signing’ for West Ham – Moyes told
Roma are reportedly prepared to entertain offers for West Ham-linked striker Tammy Abraham next year and he could be a great signing according to Reporter Iomie Stanley
Now look we all know that West Ham signed Gianluca Scamacca in the summer window – and he has started pretty well for the Hammers – but David Moyes needs to add more depth to the squad and that has led to all sorts of speculation that a move for Tammy Abraham will be made in the coming transfer windows.
Ever since Abraham made that move to Roma a few seasons ago, He has developed into a top-class striker that has the ability to score goals against the very best defences and on a regular basis – has shown over the past couple of Seasons
He scored 27 goals in 53 matches across all competitions during his debut season and fired Roma to Europa Conference League glory with nine goals in the tournament.
However, the 25-year-old has failed to replicate such prolific form in the early stages of the current campaign, coming up with just four goals and two assists in 20 matches in all competitions.
Roma boss Jose Mourinho is not happy with the goal output of his striker and has hit out at the striker in recent weeks
Abraham was ultimately not selected for the England squad for the 2022 World Cup, and Calciomercato recently claimed that Roma could be open to a sale in January.
Mourinho needs funds to sign the striker that he reportedly desires – and the £50 million that Abraham could generate would go a long way into signing the forward he desires.
And Stanley believes he could be a great signing for the Hammers – he told icfootballnews: ‘Abraham is struggling to score the goals that made him such a great striker last season – but so are most of that Roma side
‘ Coming back to the Premier League would be a massive decision – and he needs to make thr right decision.
‘The way that West Ham play – the fact that they still need a 20-goal a season striker means that he could be a very good signing for the Hammers.
‘ He has also proven that he is capable of scoring in the Premier League – but it all depends on money.’
