Advisor reveals if Arsenal can sign £100M man – Gunners battle to sign winger – Arteta told sign wide forward
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Senior AC Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists Rafael Leao will “remain” at the Italian giants despite links with Arsenal
He scored nine goals and bagged 10 assists in Serie A this season and still has four years left on his contract, but there has been alot of talk in the media that he is a player that the club board may look to sign at some point this transfer window.
However – amid all the speculation and rumours that the likes of ARSENAL are interested in a deal for the attacker, Ibrahimovic insists Rafael Leao will “remain” at the Italian giants – The 42-year-old said at a press conference: “Maignan, Theo and Leao remain.
‘They are the strongest in their roles, they have a contract with us and I’m happy about it. I don’t need domino effects to appear. Thanks to RedBird’s (majority owners of Milan) work we can buy strong players: the club has already brought in 12 players laying the foundation for the future.
‘This is the second year; we have to improve through the details and every day, we have a scouting system all over the world and every day. To close a purchase you need a process. What is important is the right profile.”

There is something there in the potential of Leao – he really is a special talent and could be a great long-term investment – but not for that £100 million that is being talked about.
He wont be coming to the Premier League anytime soon as he has made his feeling very clear – he would like to stay at Milan – and judging by the words of Zlatan – he is going nowhere.
But we are sure that ARSENAL fc will continue to be linked with the man
ARSENAL IN SIMONS BATTLE –
Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs battling for Paris Saint-Germain starlet Xavi Simons.
The 21-year-old, after bagging 19 goals and eight assists during a loan at PSV Eindhoven last season, has racked up seven goals and 16 assists during his stint at RB Leipzig this season.
There has been talk that he will head back to parent club PSG at the end of the season to be given a chance in their squad – but that ha snot stopped speculation that a number of Premier League clubs will make a cheeky offer for the talented attacker.
Spanish outlet Sport recently reported that the Ligue 1 giants are willing to start discussions for the 21-year-old at €60million (around £52million), but it seems that Arsenal are still in the battle to get a transfer deal done.
The Football.London website says that The 21-year-old has a wrath of teams lining up for his signature after impressing on loan at RB Leipzig.
Amid all the speculation that Arsenal are interested in a deal for the attacker – Ruud Van Nistelrooy recently sang the praises of the exciting star: “Xavi Simons is in the spotlight, he is not a new discovery, but I think that he will continue to grow to a world-class level.
“I had him at PSV, now he is at Leipzig taking his next steps. I say that he is a player for a great team even as a starter.
“He has character, he is professional, he is focused on getting the most out of his potential.
“And then he has quality, he is very complete, he knows how to do many things well. He can dribble, he scores goals, he is great in transitions, he plays in small spaces. I see him as very complete.”

Another day – another talented player linked with a move to ARSENAL. But unlike many of the other talents linked – Simons is making some serious noise in the game and impressing in different Leagues and the Champions League.
For the right money – he would be a great signing – it is that simple guys as he is a player that has massive potential and under the right boss could really develop into something special.
ARTETA SENT SAKA MESSAGE –
Arsenal should consider signing a wide forward to ease the strain on Bukayo Saka, according to Ben Jacobs.
Saka is easily regarded as one of the best wingers in the Premier League and a player that Mikel Arteta really relies on during the season – as he creates so much and gives so much for the team.
There has been alot of speculation about what Players the Spaniard will look to sign this transfer window – but if you believe the words of Jacobs – ARSENAL should go out and consider signing a wide forward to help out Saka.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, he said: “As far as wide forwards are concerned, it could be something that Arsenal look at because of the amount of minutes that Saka played last season, and also because he’ll be coming off the Euros as well. So quite an intense summer leading into another busy season.
“But at the moment, the priority is in those other positions, a more central forward, a midfielder, and possibly also a young left-back.
“And if they could find a young left-back that can also be versatile and play left-back, centre-back, then even better, and that was what they liked about Jorrel Hato, even though the expectation is that he’ll stay at Ajax. He’s a centre-back that can also play left-back.”

Mikel Arteta will know what players that he needs – he knows what areas of the squad need to be improved and added depth – and if he feels that Saka needs some help, he will get that.
ARSENAL already have a number of quality wingers or wide forwards in the side – but they definitely need to bring in a new forward – that is one area that can add 30 goals a season.

You can’t add 30 goals a season by adding a 30 visit a season striker since Havertz already gave us 14. So you add 16 goals a season.
However unless the striker creates as many opportunities for his team mates as Havertz then you are trading for nothing really.
What the club needs is someone capable of coming up with magic.. whether it’s centre forward or by making our left hand side more dynamic so we can score more goals from the right hand side.
