Agent announces interest in midfielder, Abramovic releases funds for Chelsea to sign superstar, Blues most active club trying to sign £294,000-a-week star
Chelsea most active in trying to sign Griezmann, Agent announces Jorginho interest and Abramovic releases Haaland funds in top Chelsea news…
Reports have now claimed that Roman Abramovic has released funds in order for Chelsea to snap up Erling Haaland
Haaland has become one of the most talked about, sought after, and dangerous strikers in world football since his move to Borussia Dortmund just a few seasons ago, and Chelsea are very keen on his services
It is no secret that the Blues are keen to add a new striker to the attack this transfer window, as they know that Timo Werner is not good enough to help lead the club back to that Premier League title
BVB bosses have repeatedly stated the Norway international will continue at the club next season and even though a summer transfer has been ruled out, Thomas Tuchel’s side are not letting him go.
Now, German outlet Bild report that Abramovich is ‘apparently serious’ about the striker.
‘Giving up is no alternative’ for the Russian billionaire and the report says he has released funds of around €175m to bring the 20-year-old to Stamford Bridge
Now look we are massive fans of Haaland and firmly believe that he has the ability to come to the Premier League and make a real impact, so if the reports are true and Abramovic has released funds to get a deal done, it will be the best buy of the summer
Chelsea only really need to add another defender and striker to the squad, so Tuchel will have the money to get deals done, it will just be interesting to see if he gets his number one transfer target
The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has confirmed that there is interest in his signature from abroad.
After another solid season with Chelsea, in which he helped the Blues get back into a top four spot and then win the Champions League, Jorginho has gone on to impress at the European Championships and has helped the club win the Champs
However, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few weeks which have suggested that he is very open to the idea of leaving Chelsea, even though the Blues are very keen to tie him down to a new contract.
But now his agent has opened the door to a possible exit by admitting that there has been alot of interest from teams abroad about a possible transfer deal, Joao Santos said: “I confirm it, these interests have arrived,” he said. “Of course, at 29 he can do very well in all the top European clubs and many are interested in him.”
Former Italy midfielder Massimo Ambrosini recently claimed that the midfielder is irreplaceable: “Jorginho is irreplaceable. In the midfield, Italy has wide choice and quality,” Ambrosini told Goal.
“Mancini should be thanked for what he did, we must give him credit for having created a strong, courageous team with personality. What he did will be remembered regardless of the result of the final, which we obviously hope will be the icing on the cake.
“I would take the plane now to play this match, they are always unforgettable matches.
Chelsea have been the ‘most active’ club in the last few days in the battle to sign Barcelona and France attacker Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann joined Barca from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019, having established himself as one of the world’s best forwards while winning the World Cup with France.
After firing at least 20 goals in each of the last six seasons, Griezmann scored just 15 times in 48 games in his first season for Barca, a disappointing haul given the €120m (£107m/$134m) fee required to bring him to the club, and he has not faired any better this season.
He has largely been played out of position since joining Barca, and because of that fact, he has not looked like the player that dominated over at Madrid for so many years and became one of the very best players in world football
Recent reports in the media have claimed that Barcelona have already offered Griezmann to the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, PSG and Liverpool
The report adds the Catalan outfit need to offload around £171million (€200m) from their wage bill to register all of their new signings and tie Lionel Messi down to a new contract.
Chelsea want to add a striker to their ranks this summer and believe Griezmann could be ‘very favourably’, as they look to sign him on loan.
One of the best attacking players in world football and a man that has been linked with the Premier League alot over the past few seasons, yes he would be welcome at the London giants.
They may not need another midfielder in the squad, but how could they turn down the opportunity to sign one of the best players in world football? Especially at a bargain price.
If the reports are true and he is open to signing with Chelsea, he would be great
