Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…

Chelsea FC are back in the transfer headlines as the latest reports in the media have now claimed that the Blues are ready to bring Goalkeeper Diogo Costa to Stamford Bridge once the transfer window opens up in January.

CHELSEA made some big signings in the last couple of transfer windows. that they believed would help the club challenge for a Champions League spot and maybe add some silverware to the cabinet.

Chelsea are now looking at signing Costa from Sportin Lisbon.

Robert Sanchez has been a massive part of that Chelsea side this season – but he is not seen as a man that is good enough to play for one of the big Premier League clubs and has really struggled to impress.

It is reported that FC Porto are preparing for life after Costa and are resigned to him leaving following years of speculation. He could cost over £65million having established himself as one of the best in Europe.

According to CaughtOffside, CHELSEA remain interested in signing Porto gloveman Diogo Costa.

Bayern Munich could provide competition for the Portugal international, while Manchester United are also long-term admirers.

Why Enzo Maresca needs to sign another goalkeeper.

Chelsea fc do have so many wonderful players in that side – there is no hiding that fact, but Maresca needs a stopper that he can fully trust 100 per cent, needs a stopper that can play out from the back and needs someone that will command respect from that back-line.

Now that CHELSEA have impressed under Enzo Maresca this season – they can work on signing players that will make an immediate impact at the club – and Costa is a very good stopper that is better than what the club currently have now.

He will cost some serious money to sign – there are other clubs that are interested in the player, but the money that Chelsea fc could offer the stopper may be very interested and tempted.

Costs is just the right type of player that the Chelsea board likes to sign – his age means that he has plenty of time to develop into a world class player – and the Blues could still make money on him in the coming seasons if they decide to sell.

GYOKERES BOOST –

Viktor Gyokeres may be on the transfer market for CHELSEA in the January window, after the latest reports in the media have claimed that he is now ready to quit Sporting Lisbon after the departure of Ruben Amorim.

The Swede, who scored 29 goals in his maiden season, has already notched up 11 in just eight games so far this campaign and there has been alot of speculation in the media that he is one player that Chelsea may look to sign in the January transfer window.

Gyokeres now heading for exit after Amorim departure?

Gyokeres is one of a number of Sporting CP players who could leave the Portuguese club in the wake of Ruben Amorim’s departure, with CHELSEA likely to chase the former Coventry striker once again.

O Jogo reports that Gyokeres’ is “dissatisfied” with the decision of the head coach to depart for Manchester United, as the Portuguese boss was one of the main reasons that he stayed in the summer window.

Gyokeres Only at Sporting because of Amorim

Amorim’s agent Hasan Cetinkaya revealed in the summer that Gyokeres was only at Sporting because of Amorim, Cetinkaya admitted in an interview with A Bola: “It will be more difficult for Viktor to stay if Ruben Amorim leaves Sporting because Viktor came precisely because of Ruben.

“The day we met, I said to Ruben: ‘Here’s my boy, he came to Sporting because of you.’”

He further added: “There were eight clubs very interested in Viktor last summer [2023].

“They all paid Coventry more than Sporting, they all paid Viktor more, they all paid a higher commission to the agent.

“And I brought him to Sporting because of Ruben Amorim, because I know his work and his work with the players. I chose Ruben because he is a coach at another level.”

Gyokeres and his agent, then, have already shown their cards to Sporting and Arsenal over his future, putting a January transfer very much on the table.

Look, Gyokeres is a quality striker that could have been a great signing for CHELSEA – he will come at a risk for many clubs as the Premier League is alot better than the Portuguese League.

But with the new financial rules – it will be interesting to see if clubs are willing to pay that big money for the player in the coming transfer windows as he does have the potential to go on and become one of the best strikers in the game.

FANS WANT RUDIGER –

Some Chelsea fc fans have taken to social media and encouraged the Blues board to bring back Antonio Rudiger from Real Madrid after the German star was spotted training away from the Spaniards first team this week.

Rudiger fully established himself as one of the best centre-backs in in the Premier League with CHELSEA and his performances for the Blues eventually prompted Madrid to make a move and take him to La Liga.

That has not this has not changed since he made the move to Real Madrid and he has gone on to become a firm fans favourite with the Madrid fans over the last few seasons and a man that has really loved being in the Spanish League.

What has happened – Chelsea fans call for move to happen.

It was reported that the German defender was training away from the first team squad after El Clasico, prompting Chelsea fans to take to Twitter to dream about him returning to the club.

One user simply said: “Bring”

Another added: “Bring my king back.”

A third stated: “We need this CB partnership” whilst attaching a video of current defender Levi Colwill.

Another user said: “Give him the homecoming he deserves.”

Could Rudiger made a move back to Chelsea fc?

Rudiger loved his time at at Chelsea, he loved being in the Premier League, but he done everything he wanted to in the English game and that is why he made the move to Madrid.

These rumours have come out of nowhere and we are sure that Rudiger is having a little smile to himself if he sees these fans messages – but he is staying at Real Madrid for now.

He is too big of a player to let leave right now with no immediate replacement, so he will not leave, meaning that a move back to Chelsea will not happen.

Rudiger is a world class player that would bring so much to that Chelsea back-line – but we would be massively shocked to see him back in a Blues shirt – at this stage of his career – has nothing else to prove at CHELSEA
