Chelsea have been told that the possible signing of Kalidou Koulibaly would be a ‘phenomenal’ signing by Italian football expert Conor Clancy

It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel could be losing a whole host of defenders at the end of the season as a number of stars are out of contract, meaning that the German will need to bring in a few more players

And Koulibaly is a name that many Chelsea fans are familiar with, as the club have been linked with a move for the powerhouse for the last few seasons and are still interested in getting a deal done

The 30-year-old had another fantastic season in Naples, helping his team to third place in the Italian league’s premier tier. and last season Koulibaly appeared in 34 games for the Serie A team, scoring three goals and assisting on three occasions.

according to recent reports – Chelsea have offered the 30-year-old personal terms worth £8.5m-a-year – and That works out at just over £160k-a-week.

Now – amid all the speculation – Clancy has opened up and told Chelsea and the Blues fans that Koulibaly is a brilliant defender – He told GiveMeSport: “He’s brilliant. If you were given a game of FIFA, and you were told to just build your own team, Koulibaly and Van Dijk are the first two defenders you’d put in immediately.

“If it’s a back two or a back three. He is phenomenal, phenomenal.”

Aurelio De Laurentiis recently come out and admitted that he cannot stop Koulibaly from leaving the club this summer if he wants depart the club – he was quoted: “He is a symbol of Napoli, and if he wants to no longer be a symbol, he must decide.

It has been claimed that Chelsea have no begin talks with Man City over a possible deal for Nathan Ake

Ake is a player that was supposed to develop into one of the very best defenders in the world when he made that massive decision to join Pep Guardiola at Man City a few years ago.

But the Dutchman has never really been given a real chance to shine in that Man City side and has been used as cover for most of his time with the club – especially as Guardiola has had issues in that back-line over the past few seasons

And it has been claimed in the media that he is one player that Man City are very much open to letting go this transfer window as they seek to balance the books by letting a few squad members depart the club

It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel needs to add a few players to his back-line this transfer window and it has been claimed that Ake is a star that the German boss is open to bringing back to Stamford Bridge this summer

Now – according to the Daily Telegraph – Ted Boehly has contacted Man City about a possible deal for Ake knowing that the Premier League Champions are very much open to the idea of letting him leave the club

Ake has won two Premier League titles and a League Cup in his two years in Manchester but started just 10 league matches last season, with a further eight starts coming in cup competitions.

Ake is a very talented defender that has proven he is able to compete with the very best of strikers and if the reports are true and Chelsea are interested in re-signing the player – it would not be a bad option

But we would expect that he would not be the only defender to make that move to Stamford Bridge this summer

Cristiano Ronaldo will burn his briges with Man United if he joins Chelsea, according to Glen Johnson.

Despite the fact that Erik ten Hag has said on numerous occasions that Ronaldo is part of the plans at his new Man United side – and despite the fact the player has not really suggested he wants to leave – there has been alot of speculation

But if he does join Chelsea this summer – Johnson has sent a clear warning to the Portuguese superstar – Johnson told GGrecon: “If he goes to Chelsea then he’d burn his bridges at Manchester United.

“From Chelsea’s perspective, he’s a massive brand and he may be expensive, but you’d probably make that money back in two weeks through shirt sales.

“He may cost a fortune but the club would probably make more by just having him. Signing Ronaldo is like signing a commercial deal.

“I don’t think Ronaldo can change Chelsea’s fortunes as a player now, but I think having him in the dressing room would.

“On the pitch now, he’s not the Ronaldo we all want to see, but him being in the dressing room will get another 5% out of everyone around him.”
