Guys here is a roundup of the top Arsenal stories over the past few days that we think you will enjoy and may have missed!

Mikel Arteta insists Arsenal are “doing what it has to do” to keep Bukayo Saka at the club and out of Manchester United’s clutches.

There has been so much speculation and rumours over the past few weeks about possible new signings coming into the club at the end of the season, that many have forgotten that the Gunners have a wonderful youth set-up at the club that is still continuing to thrive and produce some exciting talent.

And one name that made an impact over the last few seasons is that of Saka, who broke into the Arsenal senior side last season under Unai Emery and made four appearances, but has gone on and evolved this season with over 25 appearances for the first team under his belt.

But The Gunners academy product, 18, has entered the final 18 months of his current £3,000-a-week deal and there is speculation in the media that a number of clubs may be looking to tempt the young man away from the Emirates, especially if they cannot tie him down to a nice big, new contract.

Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with a move for the teenager as he continues to negotiate a new contract, and fans are afraid that he may leave the Emirates for better pay as he currently earns just £3k per week, but now the teenager’s manager has now revealed the club are “having conversations” to secure his long-term future.

HE SAID ON THE SUN:: ‘The club is doing what it has to do and is having conversations. [Hopefully] we’ll get it resolved.

Pablo Mari may have only played twice for Arsenal but the Flamengo loanee is planning on staying at the Emirates Stadium for years to come.

The 26-year-old defender made the temporary switch to the Gunners in January following a successful stint in Brazilian football., as Mikel Arteta was keen to add some more defensive players to his back-line.

He helped Arsenal to victories over Portsmouth and West Ham, keeping clean sheets in both games, as he starts his time in north London with optimism, and there is already a feeling that Arteta will be keen to wrap up a permanent deal for the defender.

Arsenal have an option to sign Mari on a permanent basis in the summer and there is no doubt where the player sees his long-term future, after he was asked if he was keen to stay beyond his loan, Mari replied on the Sky Sports website: “Yes, of course. I am so happy here. I am going to try and do my best until the end of the season.

“I hope also the club is happy with me and then we are going to find a good end (of the season) for everybody. I want to play a lot of years here with Arsenal. It is another situation and I am really happy now.”

Arsenal supporters recently took to Twitter during the match to beg Arteta and the club to tie up a permanent deal for Mari, whose loan deal contains an option to keep him on a full-time basis.

“Mari is class, I’ve seen enough. Sign him permanently,” wrote one fan.

“Can we sign Mari permanently already please????” a second asked.

“Going to be honest, although it’s only Portsmouth, Pablo Mari is looking incredible. So calm and composed and ain’t scared of a tackle. Sign him up!” a third commented.

“Pablo Mari looks DEEEEcent!!! Sign him up and play him in the prem,” another said.

Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk believes Arsenal target and international teammate Nathan Ake “has the quality” to play at the highest level.

Arsenal have been in the transfer headlines for weeks now as they plan for next season, and there is constant reports in the media all suggesting that boss Mikel Arteta wants to improve the back-line and add some much needed quality to his defence.

And one player that has been linked with a move to the Emirates is that of Ake, who has become one of the best defenders in the Premier League with his performances, and has been tipped to make a big move to a big club at the end of the season.

And amid all the transfer speculation, Liverpool defender Van Dijk has opened up and told the likes of Arsenal that Ake is ready for a big move, He told the Daily Echo: “First of all, he’s a fantastic guy.

“I speak with him quite a bit at the national team and I think he’s a fantastic player as well. “On Saturday he showed with clearances and I think he stepped up when he had the armband as well. It’s just good to see that he’s improving.

“I don’t know what might happen with him in the future with Bournemouth, you just have to stay grounded – but I am not worried about that at all.

“He has the quality but he has to have more than just the quality these days. But he’s still young, he’s improving and you never know what decision might happen.

“It’s all dependent on how the season will end for Bournemouth, too – but I am very positive about him. He’s a fantastic guy and player as well.”

Ake is a brilliant defender that would suit the style of Arsenal, wo it would be a massive shock to see Arsenal NOT MAKE A MOVE when the summer transfer window opens up.
