Arsenal officially announce deal is done and star has completed move!

Tim Akinola has joined Qatari side Al Bidda SC in a permanent transfer, Arsenal have confirmed.

The 22-year-old midfielder joined ARSENAL as a pro from Huddersfield Town in August 2020. Before then, he was at Lincoln City where he impressed and progressed into their first-team squad in the EFL Trophy..

Akinola had a positive first season for the Gunners academy, when he made 26 appearances in all competitions during the 2020/2021 campaign. The following season saw him go on a short-term loan to Dundee United.

Last season he was sent to Chesterfield on a season-long loan where he made 31 appearances in all competitions, helping them reach the play-off final at Wembley and impress while he was there.

However – the Gunners are simply a level too high for the star and the decision has been made to allow him to depart the club and Qatari side Al Bidda SC are the side that were most interested in a deal.

Arsenal posted: ‘We thank Tim for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best with Al Bidda.

‘The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.’

Akinola has been at Arsenal for quite some time but has never been good enough to make it into that first-team, even though he has trained with the Gunners a few times.

This is a good move for the man to make as it will give him the chance to forge a decent career for himself in the game and also earn some decent money.

It is the right time to cut all ties with ARSENAL and move on.
