Impressing Spaniard now wants to sign contract with Chelsea in the summer

Reports in the media have now revealed that left-back Marcos Alonso is open to the idea of signing a contract at Chelsea.

While Frank Lampard was in charge of this Chelsea side, Alonso struggled to make an impact under the club legend, and was heavily tipped to leave the club last summer, and then again in the January window, although he couldnt get that transfer away.

However, the Spaniards team have reportedly been working on trying to get him a move away from Chelsea at the end of the season, with a number of clubs from Italy and Spain eyeing up a potential transfer deal.

However, reports on the SUN website have now revealed that Alosno is hoping that he can agree a one-year contract extension at the Bridge, after a complete turnaround of fortunes under Tuchel.

While Lampard was at the club, Alonso only made three appearances this season, however, since the arrival of Tuchel, the Spaniard has already made six appearances in the last month, and has started their last three games which included the 1-1 draw at Southampton.

He also made an instant impact after marking his first game under the new boss with a goal in the home win over Burnley.

Look, Alonso is a very good player to have in the squad as he never really lets the Chelsea side down, and if Ben Chilwell is not performing at the standard that Tuchel likes, then Alonso will.

He will keep getting more game time between now and the end of the season and we are very sure that he will get a new contract to sign, which is what he wants, and what his current spell in the side deserves.

This is a rumour that many Chelsea fans will surely welcome
