£55M powerhouse reveals Arsenal transfer decision after making summer move!

Amadou Onana says it was a ‘bit of everything’ that tempted him to sign for Aston Villa, despite reports Arsenal wanted the star.

The 22-year-old has completed a £50m move to Villa Park from Everton after two seasons in the Premier League with the Toffees, after the Belgian powerhouse was linked with a move to ARSENAL.

The Gunners interest in the player wavered too much though as they did not want to pay £55 million to get the unite signed up and now Onan has said a string of things made the Villains an appealing option.

‘It was a bit of everything. There’s a healthy atmosphere here to grow as a player and as a man,’ said Onana.

‘The team played very attractive football last season with loads of goals and will now be playing in the Champions League.

‘I’ll be playing in the Champions League again and that’s very exciting. We also have a manager that’s one of the best in the business and I think he can take my game to the next level.’

‘Youri played a big part in me being here because he told me lots of good stuff about the club,’ said the new signing.

‘He’s someone I’m used to playing with in the national team, so I’m looking forward to training with him on a daily basis. He’s someone who’s got the experience to help and guide me throughout the whole process.’

Look, a move to ARSENAL would have been a dream come true for Onana – but a move to Villa is the better option as he can walk straight into that Unai Emery side.

At the Emirates he would have been a squad member – at Villa he will be a starter.
