Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed…

Anders Limpar has told the likes of Manchester United that Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres has the ability to cope with the pressures of playing in the Premier League and believes that it is the next step for the big striker

Over the past few transfer windows, the Manchester United board have backed the manager and spent some insane money, but the players that have been brought to the club have not improved the side enough to close the gap on the top three or four teams.

Ruben Amorim is now in charge of the club after the sacking of Erik Ten Hag and there has been alot of speculation in the media that the club will look to raid his former club and bring striker Gyokeres to the Premier League.

Now former Arsenal and Sweden midfielder Limpar hopes to see his fellow countryman playing in the Premier League and is confident Gyokeres could make the transition into English football based on his recent heroics against Manchester City and his previous spell with Coventry City.

He added: ‘We have to remember that the Portuguese league is inferior to the Premier League, but when Manchester City came to visit Lisbon, he scored a hat-trick, so he’s fully capable of scoring in England.

‘He has played for Coventry and scored goals, he knows the English mentality.

‘I think his next step is to play in the Premier League and he can really choose which team he wants to play in.’

Gyokeres has constantly thanked Ruben Amorim for helping him develop into a top striker at Sporting, and he was very sad to see the boss leave. But we are sure that if Manchester United wanted to get a deal done the striker will be more than interested in a move.

But it will come down to money.

POGBA RETURN?

Paul Pogba has been told that new Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim would be open to taking the Frenchman back to Old Trafford in the January window, when he officially returns back to football.

Pogba, 31, is desperate to get his career back on track after his four-year ban for doping offences was reduced to 18 months following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The French World Cup winner will be free to resume training from January 2025 and is eligible to play again in March, and moves to the MLS or Saudi Arabia have been suggested as possibilities for Pogba.

He has been tipped to make his Premier League comeback and now Bacary Sagna has claimed that Amorim would be open to taking Pogba back to Manchester United, Sagna told Mega Dice: “It’s a different situation today at Manchester United to when Paul was previously there.

‘United have a young coach, a coach that has been a player, a coach that understands the situation. He will probably be willing to have a player like Paul at his training sessions. Amorim was a player himself, so I’m sure the coach will be open to seeing him getting back home because he loves United.

‘I have talked many times with Paul. He loves United. The only problem was the situation when he came back.

‘That was a spell where things didn’t go as well as they should have done, but Paul wasn’t the only player that struggled at United during the time he was there.”

If i was the Frenchman, i would take that massive pay-check over in the Saudi Leagues and just enjoy easy football for a few seasons as a move back to the Premier League will not be worth it.

NKUNKU BOOST

There has been some big reports emerge from Spain which have claimed that Chelsea will allow shock Manchester United target Christopher Nkunku to depart the club should they receive an amount of money that they are happy with.

Only afforded starts in cup competitions, the Frenchman has still been impressive, notching up nine goals in seven games in the Carabao Cup and Conference League combined.

However – with his Premier League minutes being limited by Enzo Maresca, there has been some shock reports in the media which have claimed that a move to Manchester United could be on the cards, as the Red Devils are reportedly interested in a deal for the French star.

Now, According to Fichajes.net, Chelsea could be willing to listen to offers for the striker in the coming markets, especially if the player fails to improve his performance in the coming months.

The reports add that The club would be willing to let him leave for an amount close to 50 million euros.

However – pundit Jamie O’Hara recently claimed that Chelsea should look to keep hold of Nkunku – he recently  told  Grosvenor Sport. ‘He’s a top player and they can’t be getting rid of him in January.

‘I don’t know what he’s moaning about to be honest – I know he’s not playing week in and week out in the Premier League, but that’s fair play to the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer.

‘Nkunku just has to deal with it – he was injured all of last season and has come back this year, so he needs to fight his way back into the team.

‘Chelsea are doing well and are in a good place at the moment, so Nkunku just needs to accept it and fight for his position.

‘Big clubs need top players in every position, so I can’t see Chelsea cashing in on him. Manchester City have top players in every area twice over, so if Chelsea want to get to that kind of level, then stuff like this is just part and parcel of being successful.’
