Boss Amorim makes transfer admission on £65M star after Chelsea have five-year contract accepted

There is no shortage of interest in Sporting midfielder and CHELSEA target Manuel Ugarte and his manager, Ruben Amorim has claimed

The season is pretty much done for Chelsea and Frank Lampard – there is one game to go before the club can put a miserable campaign behind them.

There has been no silverware – there will not be any European football for next season – there has been a number of manager changes and Chelsea may even finish in the bottom half of the table.

Now the club can focus on adding to their squad in the summer transfer window and signing players that will make a difference – and Ugarte is a man that the club reportedly want.

Ugarte joined Sporting for just over £5million in the summer of 2021 from fellow Portuguese side Famalicao.

“Manuel Ugarte very close to becoming a new CHELSEA player. Contract for 6 years, about 65 million Euros. His desire to play in the Premier League is getting closer,” Journalist recently claimed Franco Fernández.

Now amid all the speculation – Amorim admits that there is interest in Ugarte and that this is a big blow for the club in keeping their best players, while it would be an uphill battle anyway given the size of the teams interested in Ugarte.
