Announcement made as midfielder completes Chelsea transfer deal, Striker admits he has signed up to dream club after Blues deal, Chelsea offered superstar
Chelsea offered Hazard, Broja has signed up with dream club and midfielder leaves Chelsea in Chelsea top news…
Leeds United have completed the signing of Lewis Bate from Chelsea for £1.5 million
The 18-year-old midfielder was highly regarded at Stamford Bridge and there was a hope that he could develop enough over the next 12 months to work his way into that first team.
However, his potential has been lured to Elland Road by the promise of a clearer pathway to first-team football in a deal that will cost the club just over £1 million, and they are delighted with the deal.
Leeds have announced the deal on their official website, saying: “Leeds United are pleased to announce the signing of Lewis Bate.
“The midfielder joins the Whites from fellow Premier League side Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.
“Bate, who attracted interest from a number of clubs, has penned a three-year-deal at Elland Road, running until the summer of 2024.
“The 18-year-old has been part of the Chelsea youth setup for the last 10 years and captained the Blues in the 2020 FA Youth Cup final.
“Last season he made the step up to Under-23s football, making 20 appearances as Chelsea finished runners-up in Premier League 2 Division 1.
“He has also won caps at youth level for England at both Under-17 and Under-18 level.
“Bate becomes Leeds’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Junior Firpo, Jack Harrison, Shaun McGurk and Amari Miller.
“He will initially link up with Mark Jackson’s Under-23s for the forthcoming season.”
This will come as a massive blow to Chelsea as they had high hopes for the lad, but he will get more first team experience with Leeds, so it may be a very smart move from the lad.
Chelsea have been offered the chance to re-sign Eden Hazard by Real Madrid this summer window
Real Madrid ended the season without a major trophy for the first time since the 2009/10 season and they will be looking to revamp the squad in search of winning back that La Liga title and maybe adding another Champions League crown to the cabinet.
Hazard has scored only four times since he moved from Chelsea a few years ago in a deal worth up to £130m. Injury problems has meant that he has barely featured for Madrid during his stay there, and when he has, he has not impressed.
That has led to recent reports in the media that Madrid is open to the idea of letting Hazard leave, and reports have even suggested that he is very much interested in a move back to Stamford Bridge
He spent seven years at the club and was regularly denoted as one of the best players in the Premier League
Now, As per A Bola, the Belgian is available for €60M this summer and they have already offered him back to Chelsea
The collapse of the proposed European Super League and their continued interest in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland mean Real Madrid need to raise money from player sales this summer.
A couple of years ago, Hazard was going to be the next big thing in world football and that move to Madrid was supposed to take him to another level, but that did not work out and to be honest, Chelsea have move on from him.
So even though the fans still adore the player, adding him to the squad this summer is not the right move, as we said, he is not the same player that left the club just a few seasons ago guys
Armado Broja has announced that he is now at his dream club after agreeing that five-year deal with Chelsea
The 19-year-old was handed his first-team bow by former manager Frank Lampard in March 2020 against Everton in what proved to be Chelsea’s final game before the Premier League campaign was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Vitesse in an attempt to build up his first-team experience, where he has impressed many at the Blues, and despite all the rumours that he could be sold on, Chelsea have announced that he has agreed a new contract with the club
Having been a Chelsea fan growing up and played with the Blues since a very young age, the 19-year-old is delighted with the chance to continue his journey at the club, as well as getting his contract extension out of the way early in the summer so he can focus fully on preparing for next season.
‘I’ve been at Chelsea since I was a very young boy, it’s my dream club, I support Chelsea,’ explained Broja on the club website. ‘I’ve been through the whole system with the Academy and so I understand the club really well
‘I’ve always had a very close bond with Chelsea, since I was a little kid. I supported Chelsea and used to go to all the games, so it’s nice to sign a long-term contract with the club I love and I’m looking forward to the years ahead with Chelsea.
‘It’s nice to get that side of football out of the way so I can just concentrate on myself and my team-mates and what’s in front of us. So I’m happy that I managed to do it early and now I can just focus on my football without any stress.’
