Announcement made – Midfielder delighted after OFFICIALLY signing up with Chelsea
Erin Cuthbert has signed a new contract with Chelsea that will keep the midfielder at the club until the summer of 2025.
Cuthbert has been with Chelsea since 2016, when she arrived as a teenager from Glasgow City, and has helped the club towards Women’s Super League, FA Cup, Continental Cup and Community Shield triumphs.
And after the deal was announced on the official club website – the midfielder has opened up and announced just how delighted she is.
The Scotland international said: “I’m delighted. It’s been a long time coming but I’m happy to finally get it over the line.
“This is my club and this is where I want to be. The hard work is just beginning, it’s only a stepping stone in where I want to be.
“I’ve still got a lot to learn, I’ve still got a lot to give to this club. I know I’ve got more in my tank and that I can reach even bigger heights.”
General manager Paul Green commented on Cuthbert’s signing: ‘We are delighted to have extended Erin’s contract. Erin in her time with us has been key to our success and is now coming into her prime.
“We look forward to seeing her continue to improve and develop in central midfield in the upcoming years.’
Cuthbert is a massive part of that Chelsea side and the news that she has agreed to stay at the club until at least the summer of 2025 is something that many fans will be happy with
