Great news for Mikel as £54 million Arsenal target Aouar ‘to quit Lyon’ before the end of the season

Arsenal target Houssem Aouar is set to quit Lyon before the end of THIS season, according to reports.

While they focus on ending this season back inside the top four for the first time since 2017 and maybe adding some silverware to the cabinet, the Gunners have already started planning for their attack for the January transfer window.

And that has led to more speculation in the media that Mikel Arteta is keen to add Aouar to his squad, in order to give this Arsenal attack a bit more creativity and quality, something he has been lacking in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal were handed a boost in their chase to sign the talented young man after L’Equipe claimed the 22-year-old’s relationship with his club’s hierarchy is now under strain following a clash last month.

Reports claim Aouar was left unhappy at being an unused substitute in Lyon’s 1-0 win over Angers and as a result, the France international is said to have refused to take part in the post-game protocol of warming down with his team-mates.

Now it is claimed that Aouar could leave the Ligue 1 side before the end of the season, according to L’Equipe.

He is reportedly not happy with the way he has been treated over the past few weeks and could look to leave the club as early as the January window, news that will put some smiles on the faces at arsenal, as they are very keen to get the man all signed up.

This will all be good news for Arsenal heading into that transfer window in the January window, that is all were going to say
