Arteta told to sign real leader and bring World class midfielder to Arsenal
Emmanuel Petit has opened up and encouraged Arsenal to make a move to try and sign Chelsea midfielder Ngolo Kante
Now we all know that Kante is one of the best holding midfielders in the world and has been brilliant for Chelsea ever since you moved from Leicester City a few years ago.
His contract with the Blues runs out at the end of the season and there has been alot of speculation about his current situation at Stamford Bridge – and there has been a number of links with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain – Manchester United – Real Madrid Barcelona and even Arsenal
Chelsea do not want to lose him – that has been claimed in the media on many occasions and They have offered him a contract worth about £290,000 a week. But according to reports he had rejected the terms as the length of the contract is not what he desires, and he is currently considering his future at the club.
Chelsea are ready to part ways with N’Golo Kante in January provided they get £18m as transfer fees, according to recent reports on La Repubblica.
And the Gunners have been told to make a move for the Frenchman – Petit told OddsBetting: ‘I’d love [N’Golo] Kante to go to Arsenal and I think he wants to stay in London, so they should take their chance.
‘I also think Barcelona want to sign him in January but he suits Arsenal and they need a player who has a winning mentality.
‘I’m surprised Chelsea do not want to give him a new contract but maybe they know something we don’t, perhaps a medical issue.
‘Anyway, any club would be lucky to have Kante – it’s Kante!
‘When you have guys like this – so humble and professional – you have to have leaders like this in the dressing room.’
And if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – he would be a very good addition to that Gunners side – he told icfootballnews: ‘Arsenal have been linked with the man for some time now and this is a great chance to get a deal done – he is still one of the best holding midfielders in the world and a fresh challenge in the game may get him back to his very best
‘There is interest from a couple of Italian sides – but Kante is happy in England and a move across London would be one that he would much prefer.
‘Arsenal do have player like him in the squad – but they are not able to do what Kante does. But the only issue would be keeping him fit as he has had some issues over the past few seasons”
