Free agent announces ‘it is a dream’ to make a move back to Arsenal amid stunning speculation

Jack Wilshere has admitted he is still an “Arsenal man” and that returning to Emirates Stadium would be a “dream”.

The England international midfielder, who is a product of the Gunners’ academy system, is a free agent at present after seeing his contract terminated by West Ham and could have got a move back to the Emirates as Mikel Arteta seeks to add a bit of depth to the squad.

There has been may reports in the media which have suggested that Wilshere is open to the idea of making a transfer move to join Rangers, where he could reinvent himself in the game playing under Steven Gerrard.

However, there has been some speculation that Arsenal could be interested in getting a deal done for Wilshere and bringing him back to the club, a move that could shock the whole of the Premier League.

Now, amid the speculation, Wilshere has opened up and admitted that he would love to make a move back to the Emirates, he told the ITV Football Football Show when quizzed on the possibility of a return to the Emirates: “Listen, you never know.

“I’m an Arsenal man. There’s nothing, I’ve not spoken to anyone or anything but that would be the dream.”

It would be sensational to see Wilshere make the move back to the Emirates, but the man is too injury prone and would not make much of an impact on this starting eleven, so it would be a massive shock to see him make that move back to the club.

But would Arsenal fans even welcome the man?
