£60 million offer will get Arsenal deal done for Brazilian in January window
Arsenal are interested in signing Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz in the January transfer window, but they will have to pay big money to get a deal done.
Luiz was heavily linked with a move to ARSENAL in the summer window – but despite all the speculation and despite all the rumours – the Gunners were unable to convince Villa into letting him leave and he stayed put, and he is having a very good start to the new season.
However – rumours are back in the headlines that Arsenal will make an offer for Luiz once again – in hope that he is interested in making the move to a Champions League club and a side that will challenge for trophies.
He has recently earned a recall to the Brazil squad and there has been alot of speculation that the Gunners will once again go back in during the January window and make a move for the star.
According to Caughtoffside. The deal at the moment looks complicated as Luiz is an important part of Unai Emery’s side and would demand a minimum of £60m to let the Brazilian leave.
However – amid the speculation boss Emery is desperate “to keep him” at Aston Villa, He said: “He’s playing very good. He’s improved a lot, his commitment is amazing.
“I am very happy with him and I want to keep him of course. I think he’s happy with us.
“He’s coming on with his national team. And his performance like today was amazing. I want him.”
DO ARSENAL NEED LUIZ?
He would be a very good option to have in the side – he would offer Arteta something different. But with all that midfield quality that ARSENAL have, right now they do not need him.
