Mikel Arteta ‘ to add much needed flair’ to Arsenal squad as £350,000-a-week maestro wanted at the Emirates

Fresh reports have claimed that Arsenal are ready to add some superstar flair to the squad by signing Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho has been in the transfer headlines alot over the past six months as all indications suggested that he was done at Barcelona, that the Spaniards were keen to sell on this transfer window.

However, it seemed that Coutinho will not be sold, that he does have a future at the club and that he will not be coming back to the Premier League this summer, as Ronald Koeman was more willing to give him a chance in the squad.

But that seems to not be the case, reports claim that the Spaniards have now decided that they will be open to the idea of letting the Brazilian depart the club

Citing Sport, football.london claim that Mikel Arteta is interested in bringing Coutinho to north London, and they are even reportedly ready to bring him on loan for another season to see if he has the ability to stay on a longer basis.

However, Coutinho’s knee injury which he is still recovering from is a cause for concern.

Look, if the reports are true and Barcelona are open to the idea of letting Coutinho leave the club in the transfer window, we are massive fans of the man and still believe he would have alot to offer a club like Arsenal .

Despite all the quality that the Arsenal have, they do not have a player like Coutinho in the squad and for the right amount of money, he could be a very smart buy from the club.

He is not the same player he was at Liverpool, but he is still a world class midfielder guys.
