Emery target on move! Arsenal target James Rodriguez ‘wants to leave’ Bayern Munich in the summer window
Reports have claimed Arsenal transfer target James Rodriguez is not keen on a permanent move to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
James has been in the transfer headlines over the past few months after reports emerged which suggested that the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are all interested in bringing the £63 million rated midfielder to the Premier League.
It is no secret that Arsenal are keen to find an adequate replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey, who is leaving the club after eleven seasons and heading over to Italian giants Juventus on a reported £400,000-a-week deal.
And according to reports on the BILD website, the Colombian, who is owned by Real Madrid, isn’t keen on the idea of returning to Bayern Munich at the end of the season after struggling to fit into Niko Kovac’s plans this year.
However, The Gunners will reportedly not hand boss Unai Emery a big transfer kitty in the summer window and the Gunners may find themselves priced out of a move for the Colombian, especially since Juventus are also reportedly keen on taking him away from both Bayern and Madrid in the summer.
Could Arsenal seriously tempt Rodriguez to the Emirates?
Arsenal have the players, they have the coach and they do have the money to land a big named player like Rodriguez, but the club have no intention of shying away from the stability that Arsene Wenger brought to the club, meaning Emery will not get the funds to land James.
He would need around £50 million to secure a deal for James and then a weekly wage of around £250,000-a-week, which is not what the Gunners are about these days and would pnly pay that amount of money if they really needed Rodriguez.
Could Arsenal tempt Rodriguez to the squad, yes they could but they will not as they prefer quantity over quality.
