Arsenal announce ANOTHER deal – Gunners wants £40M star – Brand new arrival ‘huge’ Arsenal signing
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –
Arsenal are reportedly planning another transfer raid for a £40million Ajax star – as they are keen on Mohammed Kudus.
ARSENAL have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, sealing the £105m arrival of midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham, who became their third new arrival after the £40m capture of defender Jurrien Timber from Ajax and the £65m signing of attacker Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
But the transfer window is not yet closed and Mikel Arteta has already dropped a hint that there could be some more faces making the move to the Emirates over the next couple of weeks.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
Now the Daily Mail are claiming that he is interested in Ajax’s £40m-rated Mohammed Kudus.
The 22-year-old Ghana international , who also has Brighton keen on signing him, is comfortable as a conventional central midfielder, playing more advanced or even on the right wing and his versatility has made him an attractive option to the club’s recruitment staff.
However, their report adds that Arsenal are “focusing on trimming Arteta’s squad before adding to their £200m recruitment spree”.
WOULD KUDUS BE A GOOD SIGNING –
To be honest the players that Arteta needs to add to the squad now will only need to be squad members – he has done the business that he really wanted to achieves.
Kudus is a very solid midfielder that would offer a bit of power to that midfield – and with reports suggesting that Thomas Partey is leaving the club – he could be the ideal replacement.
There will be many more names linked with a move to the Emirates over the next few weeks – but we would not be surprised to see just 1 more make the move.
RICE HUGE SIGNING –
Wayne Rooney believes Declan Rice is a ‘huge signing’ for Arsenal and has backed the midfielder to become a future captain for Mikel Arteta’s side.
ARSENAL came close to winning their first Premier League title since 2004 last season, sitting top for 248 days before ultimately finishing five points behind Man City.
That prompted Mikel Arteta to get very active in this summers transfer window and sign players that will make a difference, with Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber making the move to the Emirates.
Rice, 24, is rated as one of the best holding midfielders in Europe right now and the Gunners managed to beat off the likes of Man City, Bayern Munich and Chelsea to secure a deal for the Englishman.
WHAT HAS ROONEY SAID?
‘I think he’s a huge signing for Arsenal,’ said Rooney, who is managing the MLS All-Star side which plays Arsenal in a pre-season friendly on Thursday.
‘He’s a fantastic player with a great mentality and young.
‘Arsenal have got a player at the top of his game and I think he’ll bring a great character in the dressing room.
‘He could be captain of Arsenal. He’s a player who Arsenal needed and they’ve certainly got a top player.’
And Rooney believes Arteta’s side will run Pep Guardiola’s men close once again this term.
‘I thought they had a fantastic season,’ said Rooney.
‘It was a huge step and the signings they’ve made have been huge to kick on and challenge City. I think Liverpool, Chelsea and hopefully Man United will be better.
‘Arsenal have made some great signings and they’ll compete again.’
RICE IS A BRILLIANT SIGNING –
There will not be too many people out there that you will find that dont believe that Rice is a brilliant signing for the club.
He is only 24 years of age – is already a leader and has proven that he can even lead a relegation threatened side to a European Trophy – he is ready for this move to
BANDEIRA DEAL DONE –
Mauro Bandeira has joined League Two side Colchester United on a season-long loan – Arsenal have announced.
ARSENAL have some of the best young talents in the game and are constantly letting players leave in order to gain some much needed first-team experience, as they are not ready to be part of the squad right now.
And they have now decided to let the exciting Bandeira depart the club for the next 12 months as he has joined Colchester United until the end of the season.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
The Gunners posted – ‘Mauro made 23 appearances in all competitions for our U-21s last campaign, scoring three times and assisting twice. The midfielder’s hard work earned himself a place in our matchday squad for the first team in both the Premier League and Europa League.
‘We wish Mauro all the best with Colchester United this coming season and look forward to watching his continued development.
‘The loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.’
Colchester Posted: ‘Colchester United have taken Mauro Bandeira on loan from Arsenal.
‘The nineteen year old has signed a season long loan deal, keeping him in north Essex until next summer, subject to the usual ratifications.’
THIS IS A GREAT MOVE FOR THE LAD –
To be sure that Bandeira is ready to make that next step in his career and play professional football – he needs to be tested and he will be tested down in the lower leagues with Colchester.
It will be totally different to what he is used too and he will need to work hard to show the ARSENAL scouts that he can come back and big a future Gooner.
