Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –

West Ham chairman David Sullivan has confirmed captain Declan Rice will be sold this summer, which has given CHELSEA , Man United and ARSENAL a massive boost.

Over the past few seasons – Declan Rice has developed into one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a man that could go on to become one of the best in the world.

The England midfielder became only the third Hammers skipper to lift a trophy, after victory over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League.

He is a player that CHELSEA and Arsenal are really interested in acquiring – but there has also been claims that Bayern Munich, Man United and Real Madrid are also interested in taking him away from the Premier League.

Now – Sullivan admitted a gentleman’s agreement means they will allow a player who still has two years remaining on his contract to leave.

Asked whether lifting the trophy in Prague was Rice’s last action as a West Ham player, Sullivan told talkSPORT: “I think it has to be. We promised him he could go.

“He set his heart on going and in due course he has to get on and we have to get a replacement.

“It is not something we wanted to happen. We offered him £200,000 a week 18 months ago and he turned it down. You can’t keep a player who doesn’t want to be there.

“I think the offers will start to come today. Three or four clubs have shown interest but out of respect to West Ham, while we’re still playing, you don’t make offers for players.”

Look – if ARSENAL get the man he will be a brilliant signing – but we really cant see the Gunners paying £100 million for the player

Arteta wants Havertz –

ARSENAL are interested in signing Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, according to journalist Alex Goldberg.

Chelsea are one of the best sides in the game – there is no doubt about that and have some world class players – but the one thing that they are missing is a world class striker.

Graham Potter and Frank Lampard currently used Kai Havertz as his top man – and he does ok at times – but he is not a natural goal-scorer that can hold the ball up etc – and struggled last season,

He has been linked with a move away from west London after another frustrating season in which he scored just seven goals in 35 Premier League games.

And despite Havertz’s struggles at Chelsea, Madrid have been keeping an eye on him over the past 12 months and are now closing in on a transfer deal, according to the Sun.

However – Goldberg has now claimed that Arsenal are interested in a move for the German star

It has been claimed Mikel Arteta’s side have touched base with the players’ representatives, with Chelsea set demand a transfer fee of £75m for the services of their in-demand prized asset this summer.

Edurdo Hagn Tweeted: Kai Havertz is a target for Arsenal. Arsenal haven’t approached Chelsea yet but they’re working on the player side.

If CHELSEA used Havertz in his preferred position – he would be a massive player for the club – he really is a very gifted player.

He is no a striker and that was a mistake to play him in that position rather than actually buying a new striker.

If the reports are true and he is on his way out of the club – we are not sure that he is a player that will do any better at ARSENAL than what he is doing at Chelsea

Foorde signs up –

ARSENAL have announced that Caitlin Foorde has agreed a new deal withe the club.

Caitlin joined Arsenal in 2020 from Portland Thorns in the USA and has since gone on to make a total of 94 appearances for us, scoring 35 goals.

Caitlin made 33 appearances in the 2022/23 season, scoring 11 goals and providing a further nine assists.

And after Arsenal announced that a new deal had been agreed – the forward admitted just how excited she was – “I couldn’t be happier to extend my stay here at Arsenal,” said Caitlin on the Arsenal website

“I feel like I’m growing and improving being here in this environment so I don’t want to leave that. I want to continue to get better and to help the team – I enjoy going out and training every day and wanting to be better and being surrounded by world-class players.

‘This feels like the right place – the place I want to be.”
